Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I've been in a breakfast slump. Basically eating a banana and english muffin with peanut butter every morning. Every once in awhile throwing in a green smoothie if the baby was already awake so that I could run the blender. This morning I decided to mix it up...I made eggs (a mix of egg beaters and egg whites) with ham and laughing cow cheese, toast, and a huge bowl of grapes and pineapple. This was the same number of points as my traditional breakfast, but a TON more filling. It is almost 1pm and I am not hungry yet--and I did an hour zumba class. Typically I would be ready to chew my arm off by now. I've only had breakfast, but I have already taken care of my healthy oils, 2 fruits, and 1 dairy for the day. I would have added spinach to the eggs as well if I had it, but I was out. I might need to mix it up more often. What is your favorite healthy breakfast?

Your egg breakfast sounds delicious and very filling!

I take the same thing to work every morning since I eat my breakfast there. It's either plain yogurt with granola mixed into it or I do the overnight oats thing where I mix oatmeal and almond milk. I usually add in coconut flakes, cocoa powder, a little hemp protein powder and/or fresh blueberries if we have them.

I love my hot breakfasts on the weekends which is almost always 1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1 cup of almond milk, 1 tbsp of peanut butter, cocoa powder and coconut flakes. YUM!

Your oatmeal sounds delicious! Almost like an almond joy candy bar. Haha. I always forget about oatmeal. I used to eat it all the time, but haven't in forever. I also love peanut butter in my oatmeal (or peanut butter in just about anything!). That's it--I am definitely having oatmeal next week!

My favorite breakfast is either Shakeology or home made oatmeal using oats, unsweetened almond milk, unsweetened coconut, walnuts or almonds, cinnamon, and fresh fruit.

I love cutting up an apple into cubes, mixing in 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, a tablespoon of chocolate chips, and a tablespoon of shaved coconut.  :)

I'm all about eggs! My latest favorite is a Healthy Egg Roll. Its quick and portable. Unfortunately, I feel as if I could eat about 6! Enter the fruit!  Or I whip up another and use egg white instead of a whole egg. The original recipe is about 160cal and the egg white version is 110.
