No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Ok- I am trying. I got such a boost and an uplift from comments on my post yesterday. So I woke up, trying today.
I had eggs and bacon for breakfast. This didn't flush with the new no dairy requirements, and obviously bacon is no health food. But what's good is there were no grains, and no potatoes. It's easy for me to eat eggs and bacon in moderation; very difficult with bread and starches. So it was a win to keep those off my plate. See, I had struck gold with my smoothie, but now two core ingredients are out, so I need to google around for a new smoothie. Eggs & bacon was my compromise.
For lunch I had a hummus wrap, which included cucumber and lettuce, washed down with a carrot-cucumber-beet juice. I was thinking about how I haven't been hitting the veggies OR the fruit lately, so I wanted to maximize the nutrition today.
And after eating that food I do notice that my brain seems clearer and I feel less tired.
Trying to focus on what's good about eating right, on a daily basis, not just at the scale which is slow with its rewards.
