Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Just came by to share my awesome 1.18 mi walk with y'all.  Just to think that, not two weeks ago, I was running 6X that amount.  Yeah, injury waiting to happen.  I'm happy to say that there was no pain after I was done and that I'm going back to the gym for more strengthening classes starting tomorrow.  I'm staying off the knee for good until it feels stronger.  I think yoga will also be nice, breathing is important.

I'm glad that this is all happening while it's BURNING HOT in Houston.  I can't imagine dragging the kiddos out so I could get my running fix.  It's only cool at around 4 a.m.?  And even then, no.  No, thanks.  I like to stay hydrated and may evaporate if I step outside.

I'm trying a new recipe for oats, overnight ones.  I added chia seeds that I found at a meat market, of all places.  They were pricey for the amount but I'd rather try them in small doses until I decide if I like them or not.  They look funky and the pictures of them "done" aren't too pretty.  Then again, I love chipotle and it's a wrinkled red mess.  I forgot to add the banana!  Crap.  I guess I can add it in tomorrow?  We'll see.

Excellent on the walking!

It's burning hot here in Indiana, too!

It will probably be better to add the banana in later--otherwise it would just disappear.  So glad to hear that you are pain free!

Can't wait to hear how the new recipe goes! I have chia seeds, but I haven't used them except to sprinkle in smoothies.
