No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Thursday I weighed myself and reached my 50 lb total weight loss mark---YAY!!!! Very happy about that mark...and
Yesterday my husband and I took our 3 teenagers to a wonderful amusement park. It was a great day, even though it was really hot. I had a plan of action for my eating, and I stuck to most of it pretty well. We took Subway subs for our lunch (Park allows that) and I had a greek yogurt for my snack. Drank LOTS of water and a couple Diet Cokes. The part I deviated on was that instead of the chef salad that I brought with me, I indulged in one AMAZING tasting piece of thin-crust pizza with them. The other (planned) treat was one scoop of delicious hard ice cream at the end of the day.
I walked a ton, swam in the pool, climbed the long steps to the water slide a few times, and sweated a LOT (I think that sweat had to represent hundreds of calories--lol)
It was a great day, and I couldn't help but thinking, even though I still have about 90 lbs to go, I felt great, being there with my family all together and enjoying great fun with them.
(Here's a funny side note--The pizza was an on-the-spot decision for me cause I really wanted it. When I pulled out my chef salad to eat at home for lunch today, my sons were both like "That looks AMAZING" and wished they were eating my salad)
But NEXT year, my HUSBAND will have to sit on the back of the raft on the water slide (--heavier person in back--) and my fat butt won't be what propels him down the hill at some crazy speed!!!!
I'm sure you got lots of walking in so don't sweat the deviation. Also--the one slice of thin crust pizza may have had less calories than the chef salad. :)

Comment by Cindy on August 11, 2012 at 11:39am Super congratulations on your 50 lb loss! The amusement park is definitely a challenging place to be while you're losing but you really did great planning ahead and sticking to it. Even thought the one slice of thin pizza wasn't on the plan it's still thin crust and you only had one slice!
