Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

What a gift from the cosmos!  So, one more cup of coffee before little dog and I hit the road.  Then nose to the grindstone for work.

I've started listening to an audiobook while I run.  I had been concentrating on working on increasing my speed a few days a week for quite a few months there.  But, I'm so over that now.  Do you find yourself "changing" what you find engaging about your workouts?  Is it boredom, distraction, laziness (speed work is HARD!)?  I've finished my zombie game--I'm waiting for the next season.

Work is going ok.  Still in that awkward learning phase.  I will be happy to get to that "in the groove" phase.  I'm also looking forward to that "first paycheck" phase.  Yeeeee Ha!  I was soooo hungry yesterday and we also had lunch brought in.  I diligently tracked though--60 WWplus points.  Can you believe it!  Going to have to focus a bit more on the fruits and veggies today (and the rest of the week!).

I've decided that I definitely need to make a list of chores that need to get accomplished during the week.  I'm not sure anyone else in the family will buy into it--but at least I feel it will be an effort to keep the house from sliding into total disarray and creating too much unfunness for the weekend.

Speaking of which--everyone please have a super and safe Labor Day weekend!

I get bored.  But I do not allow myself to change my workout music mix until i hit a goal.  so right now I have a mix titled "push to fifty lbs"  and when i hit fifty i can make a new mix.  makes me inspired to lose more so i can get new music:)

So great that you mastered your health goals before starting work. Now, you are definitely in your health groove and can enjoy the JOY of being employed!

Thanks @Meg--what a great idea.  I was always a bit stumped for low cost non food rewards.  A new playlist (or even audiobook) is PERFECT!  Perhaps I should title my wishlist "this is what 4 straight weeks of interval training buys you!"

Yes @Dee--definitely JOY in the emPLOY!

I get into phases where I'm into something big and then burn out and try something new.....

I hear about people listening to audiobooks when they run and something sparks where I get just a tinge of nausea. I cannot imagine running and listening to a book but so many people do it!

Glad you're enjoying work and I hope they're at least bringing in healthy lunches.

I'm good with lists, even though I don't work, sometimes I almost have too much time on my hands (I know, poor me) and I get lazy.  If I make lists, I have a tendency to get things done more.

Tracking diligently is SO tough in situations like that--WAY TO GO!
