Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

We enjoyed an adult dinner with friends last night. I was socially crippled growing up, and slowly I have become comfortable enough to talk to people and be myself. Yes, chin and gray hairs are disturbing, but in my 40s I feel more like who I am meant to be. If that translates into laser-hair-removal and regular cut and colors, so be it! Maybe I’ll go red again someday.

It’s hard to eat light Italian food sometimes, but the place we went last night has a grilled vegetable plate. Zucchini, yellow squash, a large Portobello, and some tomatoes really filled me up. I didn’t feel deprived, I felt good about my decision. Ordering light has become the norm and not nearly the struggle it used to be. I’m still aiming for the 150s…

Chin hairs.  That's funny!  I think there's a complaint post about that stuff in the 40s forum. :P

I love when I get close to the next "decade"...I just hate when it then seems to take forever to finally get there!

What a super choice at an Italian restaurant, no less!

I totally have a mole that grows a hair. And I'm in my 30's! The gray, the gray! I have natural dark brown hair and this clump of grays is right at the front. I don't even care, but my sisters and friends tell me to color it. I love your confidence and willingness to socialize and feel good about it! Good for you! And your meal choice was spectacular! I love all those veggies. My friend buys the portabello's and puts marinara, peppers, onions and zucchini on top! It tastes like pizza :-) Trader Joe's sells a balsamic glaze that is healthy and adds TONS of flavor. I need to buy it now that I think about it!  :-) BTW, I'm at your exact weight and aiming for the 150's and want to keep going after that! We can do this!

Mmm, the Portobello with mozz and tomato sauce sounds great. I hope we both get to the 150s!!
