No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

disappointment .... comes from not losing enough when you are working so hard! In the past two and a half weeks I have ONLY lost .8 lbs ... now I know people will say hey that is going in the right direction ... but I have been working out 5x a week and eating my points or less ... i should see more weight coming off! 

 

week 7 - .2

week 8 - .6 

 

I just don't get how some people can lose 2lbs in a week ... what else can I do? how do I pick myself up from this? I did not even cheat once this week? please help me get through this disappointment !!!

That is so frustrating and disappointing.  Four weeks of staying the same for me and I totally understand where you are coming from.  It's so hard to want to keep going when it doesn't seem what you are doing is working.

 

Maybe you could switch things up a bit.  Try a different exercise this week. Have breakfast for dinner. Eat a bit more at lunch and a little less at dinner.  Split your workout into two sessions rather than one long one. Have some more water based fruit (watermelon?)  Cut back on food after a certain time at night.  Just some thoughts.

How frustrating for you!  It really is hard to keep going when the stupid scale won't move.  Chris has some really good tips!  Are you journaling?  Are you eating your exercise points?  Are you eating enough?  Remind yourself that even when the scale does not move you are still taking good care of yourself.  Sometimes I get so obsessed with the scale I forget about the big picture.  This is about taking care of me. Eating healthy and exercising.  As long as I keep doing that...... the stupid scale will catch up to my efforts!  I know it is still upsetting- but some of these mind games work!

I read a post somewhere about someone being disappointed from their .5 loss that week. They turned it around though and was like- well- .5lbs a week means a loss of 26lbs a year! Who wouldn't be happy with that!? It's definitely frustrating to see others lose more, but keep focused on those good healthy habits and you'll soon see the weight come off too!

OKAY ... ladies ... I went to my meeting tonight and the scale said -1.8 ... so something was crazy this morning ... I guess good things come to those whoe wait! AMEN
