My Chai Late addiction & 2 pt recipe

This has become a habit! Just about every night when we settle in on the couch & get cozy I make myself a latte! I went off of caffeine & I'm limiting sugar since I restarted WW on Jan 5, 2009. I've been brewing a mixture of loose Rooibos, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice & a couple cranks of fresh ground black pepper. I allow it to steep for a least 5 minutes, then strain it to my giant mug & add tiny bit of vanilla extract. While the tea is steeping I warm up 8 oz of milk until just warm, because that amount of milk would cool off my tea way too much. Then I use my emersion blender & froth up the milk. Top the tea with the foamy milk & enjoy!!! It is like a decadent treat for 2 points, & It helps me get in another milk/dairy serving! Any decaf chai tea bag would also work, but since I ran out this is what I have been doing & it is really good! You could also use 1/2 cup of milk for a 1 point serving, but I usually have a whole serving to use up!!!

I love chai and all kinds of lattes. I think I'm gonna try this. I'm working on creating my version of Starbuck's London Fog latte. "My girls" at my Starbuks make mine with non-fat milk, sugar-free vanilla syrup and extra foam.
