More about the Simply Filling Plan

My last couple of posts have been about the Weight Watchers Simply Filling Plan. Paula asked that I post more about the plan so I thought I would give you a little more detail. For those of you who are not familiar with Weight Watchers, their standard plan is based on everything having a point value and then you weigh and measure everything and figured out the points value. Very similar to counting calories, but the goal is to help you learn how to make better choices based on the point…

First Weigh-in after Simply Filling Week

I weighed in this morning after my first week of following the WW Simply Filling Plan. I have to say I have liked this week. I lost 2.4 lbs. You are suppose to track the items you eat that are not on the plan and I have to admit I didn't track those items, but I was really conscious about how many of those items I ate and made sure I didn't eat very many. I also got 22 activity points. I have slowly tried increasing my activity. After not exerciser for the last six months, I can really feel…

Great Week on Simply Filling Plan

So far, I have had a great week. I seem to be in the right mental state of mind to stay on plan. I decided this week that I really need to just focus on Weight Watchers Simply Filling plan, so I don't have to spend the time measuring and tracking. I am loving it so far and I am now just trying to figure out what all my options are for eating on this plan. I ran into this great blog post regarding the Simply Filling plan and thought I would share. She gives great advice and shows that we…

Exercising again

I am finally exercising again. It has been almost six months since I have exercised. Hard to believe it has been that long, but I realized some how I just have to make it a priority in my busy life. Yesterday, I went for a walk at lunch with a co-worker and than last night attended a PiYo class. It kicked my butt and I am so sore today, but it felt so good to attend a class again.

I went clothes shopping this weekend with my daughter and let me just tell you, shopping for a bigger…

In need of support

So I have been a member of "Blog to Lose" for several years. I haven't been on for a couple of years, but I am in need of some serious support. I am going through a funk that I just can't shake and know that I need to before I spiral completely out of control. In July 2008, I had lost 70 lbs and reached my Weight Watcher lifetime goal. I have never felt so good in my life. I think I was the healthiest I had every been. Fast forward 6 years, holy cow I can't believe it has been that long, I…

Busy. Busy. Busy

It is that time of year when life just gets busy. Kids start school, work gets busy with college kids back, and everything else that goes along with it. Even though life is busy, I have been able to stay on plan, which I feel good about. In 4 weeks, I have lost 5 lbs and have either ran or walked a total of 93 miles. Crazy how time has flown by. I made the goal that from July 28th through October 31st I will at least walk 1 mile a day. So far it hasn't been so bad and I love that I set a…

Half Size Me is AMAZING!!!

I know someone has mentioned the Half Size Me podcasts before on here, but I just have to say that I love them. I have been listening to them, starting back with Heather's first podcast and have listened to 18 of them. They are so inspiring and motivational. Heather does a great job. If anyone is looking for extra motivation, I highly recommend checking her out. I actually look forward to my daily walks, so I can listen to her podcast.…

Great Week

I have had a great week. My successes for the week that I am proud of.

  • Stayed on plan.
  • Got in plenty of exercise.
  • Went camping and still managed to stay on plan and not eat all the junk food that seems to go along with camping.
  • Went on a mountain bike ride with my daughter.
  • Tracked the yummy milkshake I splurged on.
  • LOST 4.2 lbs. (Granted some of this was due to TOM last week).

I love the feeling of being…

Am I doing too much?

I have been running or walking at least 1 mile, but more like 2-4 miles for the last 11 days. My knees are starting to bother me a bit. But not enough for me too stop. The last couple of days I have been alternating walking and running to give my knees a break. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am sitting here with ice on my knees hoping that will help. I am hoping they just need to get used to a workout routine again.

1 week done, many more to come

It has been a full week since I started tracking and exercising faithfully and it feels great. I am so glad to be back on the wagon. Not sure why I fall off when I actually can tell a difference and feel so much better. Tomorrow I will weigh-in at weight watchers, so we will see if the scale will show a loss, but if not I will keep chugging along. My body usually takes a couple of weeks to notice a change. The results will show eventually. RIGHT?

calculate points before eating

I learned tonight that I really need to figure the points on something before I eat it. I probably would have chosen not to eat it. I tried the new yoplait cookie dough smoothie. although I am sure it is a little healthier than a shake it still was 6 points. this was also a topic that Heather from Half Size Me talked about on one of her earlier pocasts that I listened to tonight. definitely makes a lot of sense and I will be figuring points from now on before I eat something that I don't… Continue

A Newbie, kind of

I have been part of Blog to Lose for several years, but have not been on here for quite awhile. I am so ready to be back to such a supportive group. I need it.

I am not giving in to buying new clothes. Mine are just getting to tight and when I look at my closet and see all the cute clothes I have, I just need to lose the weight and be healthier. I remember feeling and looking so much healthier.

A little background about me - after I had my second child (almost…

Facing reality

Last night at boot camp I talked to the instructor about kick starting my weight loss. I feel like I am doing everything right, but not losing just gaining. She asked me how bad I wanted to lose these last 10-20 lbs. Of course I want to lose them. She told me to add in some extra exercise. I gave my excuses, which to me are very valid. My husbands work schedule is crazy and it is hard for me to leave the kids, I work full time, and I could go on and on. I know they are just excuses and if I…

HELP - Back Again

I am in desperate need of some motivation. I joined this group a couple years ago and enjoyed the support from everyone.

Here’s a little background about me, I had my baby in the fall of 2006. June of 2007, I decided it was time to get my act in gear and I lost almost 70 lbs in exactly one year. I have kept the majority of the weight off the last three years, but have gained about 10-15 lbs back. I would really like to get this weight off again. I just don’t feel good about myself…

Note to self

Do not eat brownies before boot camp? I baked some brownies for a BBQ for tomorrow night and of course had to have one. Well during boot camp, I could have puked. I can see how Biggest Loser people can puke during a workout. I am watching tonights episode right now. They are amazing.

Sweet dreams everyone. Time to go to bed.

Ornery Day!!!

Do you ever have just have an ornery no good day? I just have not been in a good mood today. No particular reason at all. Just don't want to do anything or go anywhere. I have boot camp later tonight so hopefully that will give me a refresher. I will let you know how boot camp goes. I have really enjoyed the workouts. They are very challinging and fun.

Family RUN!!

Just got back from a 2 mile run with the hubby and kiddos. Going against the wind gets you no where fast, but we did it. Also, my leg was killing me the whole time. I have been having pains in the lower half of my leg for the last couple of days and can't get past it. Not sure what it is, but I wish it would go away. The whole time we were running it was all I could do to pick it up and keep going, but I did it. I have a Dr. appt next week to see what is up with it. I have had vericose veins…

Blogging Again.....

It has been a long time since I have blogged. Not sure what drew me to logging on today, but it is good to be back and reading everyone's inspiration. Life is crazy as always. I have been maintaining my WW liftetime status going on 2 years in July. I am re-motivated to lose 15-20 lbs more. More for myself. I want to prove to me that I can do it. I have been doing a boot camp for the last 2 months and love it. It is a very challenging workout and I love every minute of it. I also started…

Very Good Week

I have had an extremely good week this week. I have stayed within points only using a few activity points, but not dipping into my 35 weekly points. I feel so good about this week. Tomorrow is weigh-in and I am pretty confident I will lose at least 2 pounds from my last weigh-in 2 weeks ago. If I would have weighed in last week, I think I would be down 4 lbs this week. On my home scale last week, I was so high I didn't even dare get on the scale at weight watchers or I would have had to pay. I… Continue
