New Goals

New goals because I didn't meet last week's goals and actually didn't keep track of anything. I could kick myself--I got so caught up in work that I barely had time to sleep. I need to stop doing that.

So, here's the new goals this week:

1. Track everything I eat every day

2. Get enough sleep (at least 8 hrs)

3. Only 3 sodas this week (this way I can have one on Monday, Friday and Saturday)

A New Week

Today didn't start off that great with work, but I kept trucking along and I think the positive attitude made everything so much better. You can't always have perfect days, but you can control how you react to them. Ahh, stress management. I just took it an hour at a time. And it worked!

Keeping Up With My Goals

I'm attempting to keep up with the goals I set for myself this week. My plan is to eat only my allotted points today, since that was one of my goals. I will also be walking Lexie at the dog park later this afternoon. I want to rest and take a nap first though. Fridays I'm exhausted.

I have only succeeded in exercising once so far this week. But if I take my dog to the park and walk today and if I do something active tomorrow, that's three days of exercise. I need to move… Continue

Sunday's Numbers and So Far Today

Checking in with my goals so far. I've decided it's much too difficult to stay within my points when there is a potluck dinner. Every other Sunday we have a potluck with our church small group. It's great, but there are just so many things to eat!

Goals for the week

Inspired by Tanie and her awesome ability to keep track of it all, I've decided I need to at least set some goals. I keep telling my students you don't get anywhere unless you know where you're going. So now I need to take my own advice and take control of what is happening to me. I know that's how I lost 30 pounds and I know I can do more. So here goes.

Time Off

I took some time off the blog to figure out what I wanted. I have been lackadaisical counting points and being healthy in general. I can't tell if it's because my job has taken precedence or if, in my head, I've given up on losing any more weight.

I think I've just gotten into a rut. And I haven't been trying very hard. I have a cold right now, but as soon as I'm back to normal I'm going back to the gym. I'm committing myself to eating healthy and counting points again. I CAN DO THIS!

Out of Sorts

I haven't posted in a while. It's not that I don't like you guys, I've just been feeling out of sorts lately. I'm not sure why. I like my job, I'm in a groove with my teaching, and things are going well at home. Not sure what it is. I just haven't felt like doing anything when I get home: not cook dinner, not clean, not do any work for school, not exercise, not count points....I could go on and on.
