Ok, so Thanksgiving has came and gone, and I feel like a fat cat Garfield! After I enjoyed my holiday/vacation to Virginia Beach, VA to visit family and have a little get-a-way its time to get back into the grind. Although, the foods I had while I was out of town were plentiful and delicious now that I am back home I am back in the weight-loss zone!
While I was on my trip I did have a fantastic… Continue

This is my 4th post in 2 days...I really have a lot of time on my hands:) Today went fabulous! I set my alarm for 5:45 and actually got up! I had put my gym clothes out the night before and I was starving so I grabbed a fiber one bar. I arrived at the gym at 6:10 and decided to try the eliptical machine first. After 15 minutes my feet were KILLING me, I could have kept going if it werent for my feet! Same thing with the glider yesterday. So then I hopped on the treadmill and put on an incline… Continue

Yesterday the hubby and I had date night: Thai for dinner (He had a rose waiting for me in my place when I met him at the restaurant.) and then Mannheim Steamroller. Only problem was, when we got back it was really late and the puppy was mad--he decided to show it by peeing in our bed. Gross. I was up until midnight cleaning it up.
So, between that yesterday and cheerleading and teaching, it's been busy in just these two days.
Here's the meal plan from the past two… Continue

Ok really? Are you bored with the gym posts? 3 days in a row, I know. One of these days I will post about something else. For now, I have been challenged to post once a day. Right now my life basically consists of working (teaching) and working (out).
Today I couldn't help but laugh at the personalities present in the gym. There was the guy next to me on the treadmill that was watching Cash Cab and literally yelling at the screen. He would say the answer and then yell at them if they… Continue

So who else is pretty upset about the point system change? I went to the meeting last night explaining it and it sounded pretty good. It sounded like it was more nutrition based and that I would be allowed to eat more points but the bad stuff would have more value. Only the bad stuff seems to be the healthy stuff I have been eating. My morning oatmeal has skyrocketed to 5 points and two sushi rolls come in at a hefty 9 points. Here is the breakdown of my points today: oatmeal (5pts), coffee… Continue

I give you Turkey Cranberry Pinwheels!More like Pin-blobs, but nevertheless REALLY DARNED TASTY! I had caught a blurb on The Early Show about these and decided I need to try them. MMMMM! I left the cheese out ( totally uneccessary!) And per the Old Stats: (are you ready?! )… Continue

Oh boy. That's all there is to say. I didn't any yoga yesterday and I haven't exercised today either. For that matter I haven't really done as much work as I need to either. I forgot how much time seeing someone can take up. But at the same time, he's so nice and I like spending time with him.
Breakfast- TLC apple bar and coffee with skim milk and sugar (160)
Lunch- Half of Amy's spinach pizza (465)
Dinner- About to go get some sushi
Tomorrow I am… Continue

out of sorts! I did it to myself, but I still feel out of 'it'. I'm still reclaiming the house from this past weekend's festivities, which went VERY well! Everyone had a good time. Robin behaved herself. ( the Beagle. She whines like I never feed her and I was afraid of mooching) The only picture I got to take all day and it's of her making sure my Dad carves the turkey okay.
Perfectly still....He might drop something and I will be… Continue

I’ve wanted to use this post title for AGES but didn’t actually have an excuse until now.
I tried to wax once but instead of removing hair, I just ended up with goop stuck to me that I couldn’t get off for days. It stuck to my underwear and so I ended up with multicolored fuzz mixed in with the unremoved hair and goop. It’s a good thing that this was back when no one was seeing my vag. I loved Leah’s story even more because of…

Around our house, we looooooove the NFL. My husband and I have been season ticket holders for our home team since time immemorial, and our tailgating parties are legendary. (Maybe they're only legendary in our own minds, made even more so since the advent of our diets means we no longer tailgate.) Pretty… Continue

Apologies for the multiple posts, I wanted to separate out my challenge posts from the rest.
It's early in the day, but today is already going really well. It's the first time in a LONG time I've had a great start to the day. For starters, I actually woke up at the same time as the rest of the world. Since moving home I've been stuck in a really screwed up sleep schedule. I typically won't wake up until *gulp* noon. the trade off is I'm then up until the wee hours of the morning. We're… Continue

I lived! Now it's time to pack the turkeys and haul out the holly. I'm still purging the fridge of crap, but I'm getting back on track. Last night I had my way with a bag of Goldfish and some cheese and crackers. THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO EAT BREAKFAST! It ALWAYS catches up with me in the evening! Yesterday, I got some shopping done, had some Chik Fil A and collapsed. Today, I had my stovetop frittata. ( it always gets me off to a good start. Must be the spinach!) Lunch was a frozen Broccoli and… Continue

This is fairly belated, but hey, it's still making an appearance and that's what matters! Here's my Thanksgiving Challenge post
I was up after Thanksgiving- WAY up. I do know; however, that while I was a bit higher than normal on calories, there is no way I managed to put on 4.5 pounds in 4 days. Unless I was sleepwalking to the fridge and eating chunks of lard with no recollection, it's… Continue

I feel like I haven't been around much lately, and I don't really think that is a good thing. BTL is definitely helping me to keep on track, so I need to stick with it! I think it may be partially due to the fact that I don't feel like I have anything of significance to report, and feel bad that I haven't been sticking to my healthy eating as well as I could be. You guys do hold me accountable to a point, which I don't get from anywhere else, so thanks :-)
I weighed in today at 250.8,… Continue

Wanted to write about this to compare it to future thoughts/results. So far, I have 13 points left out of my 29. I had veggie lasagna (Roni's), Turk-a-roni (Roni's), and a spinach/ricotta cheese/ham whole wheat tortilla roll plus a few snacks. I did have a late breakfast, at brunch's time. I also had a banana/apple muffin that I baked to get rid of an old banana and apple. I've switched to 1% milk b/c it's less points now than the 2% :(
My 35 minutes of running are now 5… Continue

Today has gone pretty good. I am really tired today and I think its because I got to much sleep like 11 hours! I'm discovering I really only need about 8. Wow who knew? Anyways I woke up and didnt do much, I blogged and made goals for the day, then watched the biggest loser where are they now, that was really good. I love seeing how everyone is doing. then around 12:30 I decided to take a nap, i slept until 3 and watched Dr.Phil they were talking about a new 17 day diet book. I didnt get around… Continue

I was thrown into motherhood in my early 20's. When my son was born, I
was in the middle of my most unhealthy eating behavior of my life! I'm
not sure what exactly caused this period of binging and subsequent self
loathing. Maybe it was the stress and the pressure that I went through
from Decmber… Continue

I packed my gym bag and stuck it in my car. I am far more likely to hit up the gym on the way home than to get back out once I am home. Once work was over, I have the husband a call and met up at the gym. Today I opted for the bike. I am going to try to run 3 times a week, but certainly don't want to overdo it early on and get an injury. My knee was bothering me a little bit last night, so I didn't want to push it. I rode about 4 miles. I have to admit, I am a bit self conscience at the gym. It… Continue
