Weight - Up 0.6 pounds
Exercise - Same as every week. Ran 4 days & biked 1.
Food - Office food day yesterday. Ugh! Really need to find a plan.
Mood - Stressed. Scared about the up coming election. Concerned I won't get this weight off.

Happy Happy Friday! So after seeing one of my clients get smaller and smaller doing Weight Watchers Smart Points I decided to give it a try without weighing myself. Mostly out of fear that I wouldn't like what the scale said and it would unmotivated me. Hey, it's happened more then I like to admit. Well today was the end of week 3 so I made myself get on the scale and I'm glad I did. Not weighing myself gave me this "ignorance is bliss" feeling about it. But this week I noticed my motivation… Continue

So I visited my orthopedic doctor yesterday for a follow up appointment. I had gotten a cortisone shot in my knee two weeks ago to help with the advanced osteoarthritis that was flaring up. Two weeks ago he told me I'd need a knee replacement in the next three years, and come back if it bothers me again and we'd take next steps.
His version of "next steps" is telling me to lose weight. Um, duh. I already knew that. I was 115 pounds when I graduated, I'm 230 pounds now. I know… Continue

So I've been doing Weight Watcher Smart Points (on my own) for 3 weeks now, without weighing myself. I was gonna weigh myself on Friday, but then I realized it was the week before ahem TOM. Before when I did weight watchers I learned to skip that week of weighing because I wouldn't like what the scale said, and unfortunately the scale has the ability to ruin my whole day. So knowing this I decided to skip this week. I went to work yesterday and got my first "are you losing weight?" From one of… Continue

So this last week I've been trying Smart Points and so far I think I really like it. I guess we'll see if I lose weight, that will decide if I like it;) I see how it kind of forces you to make better choices, and because of WHAT I'm eating I truly haven't been hungry at all and I feel thinner. I'm not gonna weigh myself until Friday I think. But so far so good!!
So yesterday my oldest baby Jonah turned 18. It's so bittersweet watching your kids grow up. I love the age he is now and… Continue

Weight - Down 1.8 pounds. Going in the right direction.
Exercise - Ran 18 miles & a 15.5 mile bike ride.
Food - Really made more "whole food" choices. But I did indulge in my salty snacks. Ugh!

I have been feeling like Henrietta Hippo this week. Everything is bothering me. My clothes feel crappy. I am not sure if it is because I had a crappy weigh in last week or what. I have decided I must fix the eating issue. The mindless snacking be it on good or bad food must stop. I was toying with not calorie counting but decided against it as I know I will get sloppy with my eating system nice I am not tracking. It is just so frustrating as I seem to have stalled on weight loss.

so I knew that I was not going to diet on Saturday at dinner and was careful all week so I could splurge.
Had a great anniversary dinner with a bottle of Chianti and veal and risotto for dinner. Going good then as the evening ended my napkin fell to the ground, i went down to pick it up and the zipper on the back of my dress broke. Fortunately I had a jacket on.
I wanted to cry. This would never have happened before. I felt like this was such a FAT thing to happen. All… Continue

Is anyone doing the Weight Watchers Smart points plan? A few years ago when I was losing weight steadily (1.5 lbs a week) I did the old Flex Points plan, or Momentum. I did really well on that plan, I felt like I was eating like a normal person. I was trucking right along getting closer to my goal weight, I was down 25lbs. Then they changed the plan to points plus and I immediately stopped losing weight. Got unmotivated, started having pound creep, add a little autoimmune disease (Hoshimoto… Continue

Weight - Up 2.4 pounds. WTF? Fluctuation? Ugh!
Exercise - Rocked it as usual with running & bike ride.
Food - I am not sure what the heck. I guess I really need to evaluate sodium as I cannot seem to get enough.
Mood - The scale does dictate mood for me. It should improve tomorrow.

Showed a slight gain probably from Chipotle yesterday even though I did the brown rice and left off many of the toppings. Perhaps too much sodium or just too many calories for a lunch. Regardless, it has got me down but not defeated.
I had a fairly light lunch and yogurt for breakfast. Hoping to skip dinner. Need to exercise but life got in the way yesterday as I had to sew up a quick Halloween costume without a pattern.
Saturday is going to be difficult… Continue

I thought I would lose weight camping but the scale stayed the same. I was walking, bike riding, running, etc and no change. At least no gain.
I need to get a pound off by the weekend. We are going to Salvatore's in San Diego to celebrate our anniversary and I don't want to feel guilty about the great food and wine. I want it to be a great Saturday. I won't overindulge but will have a good time. I am already studying the menu and think i will stay away from a full pasta dish to… Continue

I have read that those who blog do well with eliminating pounds. It is certainly worth a try. I have been trying to figure out the right plan for me to use to rid myself of at least 20 pounds. I lost 35 pounds and have managed to keep them off but I have never reached my goal. At this point, I am not even sure what my goal should be. In the meantime, I will lose 20 pounds and see if I feel the need to go lower.
