I had a busy weekend. Thursday I watched Paranormal Activity 3 and talked to my friend for most of the night. Friday, I worked out in the morning and packed my healthy snacks and drove to my parents. I didn't eat great today but I did take all my vitamins and drink lots of water, and I am heading out for a long walk tonight.

Tomorrow is the start of a new month which will be a start over for me. I will still have 3 weeks to get some weight off before Thanksgiving. I can't believe it is that close! What a day! Got up this morning and lazied about in the morning, but come 11:45 a.m., it was on!
* Out with hubby to get his passport photo taken, grocery shop, then mail passport renewal paperwork so we can go to Jamaica in December!
* Came home for lunch. Had a Health Choice Tortellini Primavera Parmesan and leftover salad.
I'm trying to keep my hand out of the candy until AFTER dinner. And then I'm only allowing myself three pieces. After that, it's an apple or nothing (that way I can tell myself that if I'm really hungry, I should eat the apple!).

As I stated before, I am down 30lbs post pregnancy, my current weight is 177. Over the weekend I got dressed for lunch with friends, they were meeting the baby for the first time, and I looked and felt really good! It almost makes me cry to write this. It was such a good feeling to look in the mirror and really love what was looking back at me. If I never lose another pound, I can honestly say that is okay....even though the Wii still lists me as overweight :)

I started this journey back on September 16th of 2011. I weighed 216 pounds and was not comfortable in my own skin. I have to this date lost 14 pounds since then and started exercising daily if not every other day depending upon the kiddos. My goal is to get down to around 140-150. But right now my next goal is 10% which is 194.5 and then I will reward myself with a new pair of running shoes......

OK, so this is another leading title - I'm a teetotaler. But I've heard that some people cure hangovers by drinking even more.
My legs are a bit sore after the 5 miles this morning - tired, especially around the knees. But I didn't bring any lunch today. (Stupid idea...)
There is a Subway near. So what do I do? I walk there. It's between half and three quarters of a mile each way.
I added another 1 to 1.5 miles today. I did get a nice lunch. Still…

As promised to my dad, I picked him up early today to go the gym. We got there at 11:05 and left at 12:45. He walked the whole time and spent some on the elliptical (says it hurt his knees a little, but got to 0.5 mi today!). I went to the Zumba class and there were around 75% less people than the evening one, so it was awesome. My daughter was out of school Fri-Mon.
We've been on the go quite a bit. I did well on my eating.
Yesterday, we went into Chicago (Shedd Aquarium) and had our day-trip. It was fun. I used it up as my last no-counting non sweet eating day until Tgiving. I didn't overdo it. I did pretty well at keeping things reasonable. Yay!
I also got all of my exercise in all of the days. :)
I'll get some extra walking in tonight for TOTing. :)

And boy was it nice! We lost power in the storm Saturday night - but were one of the lucky ones - still thousands of homes in the area still without. In the morning we made plans to spend the day at my brother's house but when our power came back on at 11AM we decided to stay close to home... there were 3 or 4 football games piggybacking on one another and my husband preferred not to spend an hour on the road getting home between them (or staying until 9 or 10PM until they were over). …Continue

The gym this morning was pretty good - I did a total of 5 miles, 4 running, 1 walking split between the other 4 miles. Burned 1500 calories just there. Took 75 minutes.
WHEW. Good start to a Halloween. I am not going to go crazy, but I know me - there will be candy involved somewhere. I just proactively burned some calories!
Things have been hectic! The school year is starting to wrap up for me (my school has a different calendar from most) and everything is beginning to pile up: school play, report cards, presentations to parents.....ahhhhhh!
And on Friday, for whatever reason, this caused me to actually believe that I deserved (DESERVED!) to eat an entire box of candies and a billion cookies. The old "oh whatever!" voice entered my head and told me to just stuff my face for the day because I…Continue

Hey everyone! I missed hearing from you all over the past several days! So..... I went to the beach to ride 50 miles and boy was that plan a FLOP! The winds were hovering around 15 mph the first 2 days and then it rained the 3rd!!! We tried to ride and it was really hard. I'm not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow morning. I got in one Muscle Pump/Zumba class on Monday, and a 3 mile run on Wednesday and thats it for the week. Food-wise, not doing well either.

Well, I made 3 promises (drink within reason, hydrate, come home sober) and I only kept 2 of them - ish. As expected, the party was super fun and the costumes were even better. We went as OWS protesters. I drank more than I needed to as in I stiffened the drinks up more than usual trying to cut back on the calories of the mixers. Yea, I know, very illogical.
