Halloween 2010

This year for Halloween I dressed up as a ... Runner. That's right. I got off my butt, after much trying to talk myself out of it. I dressed in my long sleeved running tee and headed to the track. I remembered to cover my EARS from last time, but forgot my watch. I started out doing C25K W9D2 and then continued to finish a 5K. I jogged the WHOLE time, except 6 short water breaks. But still I am SO SO SO proud of myself. I had no idea I could jog for 3 miles. My longest before today was 2.20…

Getting Back to the Routine

We finally started getting caught up on our sleep. I could still sleep for another 12 hours straight though! We are hoping to get back to normal this week. We need to get back into a routine. Tomorrow, here is the plan:

Breakfast: oatmeal with pumpkin butter and walnuts mixed in

Snack: cheese and crackers

Lunch: leftover beef stew with nutella and vanilla goldfish

Snack: pizza goldfish

Dinner: lemon rosemary chicken and baked sweet potato

I Almost Forgot....

Happy New Month Eve! Gosh! Where does the time go?! When was in grade school, it seemed that time stood still, for months on end! I'm STILL getting used to writing 2010 on checks and paperwork! Awesome day

So yesterday I was with Mummy...well she was with me she came to my house. I made her Turkey Veggie Chili and I made her Pumpkin Roll. She loved it all!! We had trick or treaters yesterday in our town. It was great! Costumes were adorable. Another 4 wks have passed so it was time for a weigh in and measure

I just finished 9 weeks of working out 6 days a week and today was a weigh in and measure day to see where I was at.

The scale was down 1.4 lbs

Inches lost are as follows:

Abdomen - 1 inch

Bust - 1 inch

Under bust 1/2 inch

Hips - 1 inch

So in 9 weeks, I lost 8 1/2 inches total. I am pleased with the results thus far. I am disappointed in the scale but it is what it is and I am just going to keep working hard and doing what I am…

Stupidly I let husband choose the Halloween candy!



Now, I have no one but myself to blame. Because, really, he did follow my instructions of not buying any chocolate. I know he wanted to. But he didn't.



But he bought Twizzlers instead!



Oh, damn and drat!



He didn't remember that I love Twizzlers. (Of course, I didn't exactly remind him of that and also didn't tell him not to get them. I wanted him to get lollipops...but they were sold out....)

What a Night

Well, yesterday I didn't really follow my party game plan. I drank way more than I needed and intended to but I'm not going to detail what I drank. I should have been more conscious of the fact that I haven't been drinking much lately and that my body wasn't used to alcohol. 187.4 oops

I fell off the wagon Friday night and last night, I didn't go completely crazy, but I did go out with my girlfriend Emily and some of her friends and drank. A Subway breakfast Treat

Friday morning I decided to treat myself to a very special breakfast treat. Most weekday work mornings I have the same breakfast, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a sandwich thin. Stop it with the Booze!

My goodness! It seems to be a trend though, Jessica and Anne Marie seemed to indulge as well. I've been exercising and tracking calories without going over so i'm blaming the booze. Time to cut it out for a few weeks and see if it makes a difference. Is it really possible to gain 1lb overnight???

Another anniversary!

One year ago today I started running in Jacksonville Florida while visiting my sister. One year later, I am here again and today I took that same path for my anniversary run. What a difference a year makes!

Instead of a one mile run, I did 4.

There were no questions about if I could do it (I can run 10 miles now).

There were no questions of sustainability (I run about 4 days a week and 365 days later I know I can say I exercise regulary).

Ok...Let's Regroup!

I have severely educated myself about Applebee's Nutrition Stats. ( they ain't pretty, unless it bears the WW label.) Eating there twice in a week is a rare occurance, so I'm not going to fret, fuss and fall. Last night, Hubby and I enjoyed some margaritas and watched Netflix.
