We missed Trick or Treat in the "town" that we live in because it was so early (4-6). It was a great idea to have it while the sun was out but not great for us working moms! So we went into the town where my boys go to school and we had a lot of fun! It was unusually warm evening in Ohio so we didn't have to cover up the costumes with winter coats and hats. "Boo Boo" was Mickey Mouse, "Toe" was Indiana Jones and "Hunter J" was a Ghoul. We walked around down for about 2 hours. "Toe" started to… Continue

Woohoo!! I had another loss this week of 2.2 pounds!!! I really thought I would be up because after my stomach virus passed...I felt the need to catch up on all those calories I missed out on! :)
This weekend I plan to get back into my groove. I need to increase my water intake and start exercising again! I still don't feel 100%...but I do feel MUCH better!
I worked the last two nights and did not eat too healthy. Also, we bought a whole bunch of candy this year because we… Continue

o.k. I don't know how I didn't realize it before, but the amount of mindless eating I do is unbelievable! wow, I just wasen't aware of it until recently but I have been making an effort to keep track of what goes inot my mouth and really haden't realized how much extra food I eat just by cleaning up after my daughter's lunch, or preparing dinner or just by walking by the kitchen and mindlessly going to the pantry and taking a few chips or a piece of chocolate etc. I've been reading roni's site… Continue

Ok- I ate mostly crap today-but I stayed within points. I am a pianist and when I have to perform I get so nervous I can't eat anything. So I had :
a bag of crisps in the morning (3) and nothing until 6 o clock.
I then demolished a starbucks cupcake (6.5)- and totally worth it-yum.
I had a slice of toast with maple syrup when i got in (2)
a few munches on unecessary things that I shouldn't have just because i was in the kitchen (3)
pasta with cheese (6)
and 4… Continue

I've been OP all morning, and I have a plan to avoid the Halloween goodies that are sure to be hanging around at work today.
Part of my better mood can be attributed to the scale. Despite some not-great days, I'm still down a bit (a little less than a pound) from Monday.
I hate letting the scale affect my mood, but I sure was glad to see that 194.8 this morning! :D
I tried a variation on Ronis pumpkin oatmeal for breakfast, using some of the pumpkin leftover… Continue

I'm definitely The Tortoise these days......but I'm gettin' there.....slowly but surely. 3 pounds left to lose, to get to my Weight Watcher Goal.
I lost 1.8 pounds this week, but last week my WW Leader messed up my records and when she said I gained .8 last week, I REALLY gained 1.4......which messed up my 'total to date' loss, so when I lost 1.8 this week, she told me I had lost a total of 90 pounds and I was so excited. That is, until I figured out the problem from last week, and… Continue

So I FINALLY signed up for a Pilates class which I have been wanting to do ever since I first heard about Pilates. Last night was my first class and I AM HOOKED! I don't know if it's possible for something to be both strenuous and relaxing at the same time but this class was. And the instructor was great. Good sense of humor and he walked around the class a lot checking to see that everyone was doing the different stretches/poses correctly. I am so excited and I can't wait for next… Continue

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. I really think about blogging and seeing how everyone is doing all the time. So I am going to make it a priority to blog more. I know I am going to need the accountability today being Halloween and with the upcoming holidays. I have been slipping a little I will have to confess. I have been eating a candy bar almost everyday. I went so long without being tempted and I find them hard to resist these days. I am going to try not to eat that much Halloween candy.… Continue

I woke up in a better frame of mind this morning--thank goodness! I have decided to do WW at from home instead of joining--for now at least. I think I'll give it a couple of weeks and then if I'm not making any progress on my own, I'll go ahead and join and start going to the meetings. My hope is that all of you wonderful, supportive people on here will help to hold me accountable--as I will be weighing in every Monday and then posting my weight loss on here for all to see.
I have… Continue

Hope everyone has a great Halloween, and enjoys themselves! I've been so good about Halloween candy this whole month, but I think today is going to be a wash. I'm in a great mood...so no spoiling it today with food guilt!
Enjoy yourselves! There is always tomorrow to start over… Continue

Tonight's the kickoff. Tonight begins the sixty-five day or so holiday marathon. I've noticed that Halloween (for me) seems to completely set the tone for how the entire holiday will progress. Twice in my life I've (more or less) held it together through the holidays. And both times were the only two times I didn't eat fistfuls of candy tonight.
So here goes...

I had a great week, probably the first really good week I've had since joining the program. I went to the gym 5 times (wow, I just counted that, good for me!) , drank tons of water and journaled everything. After last week's gain, I was getting frustrated - what was I doing paying for this program that I was cheating on?
It was nice that I didn't have any clients in town, and probably won't for the next month (an odd dinner or lunch but nothing much) but I did still have social stuff… Continue

Sooooo, I've been back "on track" for almost three weeks now. By on track I mean that I"m now keeping my food journal again and attempting to count points again. Like I said before, I have never gone to meetings and I am not right now either. Maybe in the future. I don't know how much I weigh, but I am judging everything based upon a pair of jeans that fit me this time last year and within the last 6 months I somehow "out grew"....I have yet to try those on to see how they fit. I've been doing… Continue

I'm glad it's finally Friday even though I had a short work week. My family and I traveled down to the Annapolis, MD area to watch my brother run the the Marine Corp Marathon and we had a great visit. I got to meet my four month old niece for the first time! We ate so much candy and baked goods though and i didn't really get to do much in the way of a workout for three days except for all the walking we did in D.C. during the marathon. So....I've been trying to make up for it all week. I've… Continue

It must be the weather or something. I've had the munchies all day long — and I seem to be losing motivation to stay OP. I came home from work ate 2 slices of turkey breast, the last of my WW Twinkies and a miniature Clark bar from our stash for trick-or-treaters.
And I was out of Points for the day when I did it. Aargh!
The day started out fine. I went to IHOP with the roommate and her boyfriend last night and saw their ad for pumpkin pancakes ... but decided to order… Continue

So I did extremely well this week, I ate within reason all week, had no slip ups...until tonight that is. I ate half a ginormous burrito and had a dipped cone at dairy queen....NOT ganna dwell on it. After-all I told myself I would allow one slightly naughty meal every once in awhile....and I had it. I'm now moving on!
Not sure if anyone watches Dog the bounty hunter, but Beth has lost a ton of weight. I would love to know what she's doing! She looks great and its really motivating!… Continue

So tomorrow is my first WI on round 2. I know its not gonna be as successful as i would like it to be, damn the pizza temptation, But i can hope it will be a start.
The week wasnt that bad. Learning to let go of those cookies had to be the hardest.. now instead I have rice cakes lol
Walking around the supermarket today and I saw Almond butter, and I remember reading somewhere that its the healthy alternative to Peanut Butter, I refuse to buy it because @ 13 bucks a jar i'm not sure If… Continue
