Checking in

I just wanted to stop by to say hello.  I have now been diagnosed with migraines.  I've been headache free for a week now, so feeling tons better.  But I'm still feeling a little weak and shaky.  Idk if something more is going on or if it is just part of it.  I've had good days and bad days with food.  My appetite has ben down with not feeling well but it also means I'm just grabbing for whatever and not wanting to prep and cook and whenever I don't feel well I gravitate toward comfort…

Made it through the weekend

I was concerned about the weekend due to a lack of control but made it through and did pretty well.  Claim Jumper was easy.  I knew what i was going to order before I got there (spinach salad) and stuck to it.  I did take a couple calamari but literally just a couple.


Now back to the work week where I have control.  The only glitch is the pot luck.  I made turkey chili.  No one knows it is with turkey and I am not going to tell.  Turkey, tomatoes, seasoning and pinto beans. …

I had a vacation day to burn & today was the day. I woke up feeling like I caught a cold. It was windy & I thought of skipping out of my bike ride, but I did it anyway. It was cold. About 54 degrees and with the wind it was cold. I got in 15 miles and with the wind it was some work out. Yesterday I ran 6.2 miles. Bad weigh in = Bad mood

I had a crap day. Been beating myself up for gaining weight. I HATE being fat. I don't want to gain anymore weight. I have to lose. Now that the self beating is over. I am going to change this crap. I signed up for a 5k. It is in October. The Haunted Hustle. It sounded like fun. No chip timing. I am planning to run to just run. Weekly Update - 9/24

Weight - Up 0.6 pounds. I am so bummed.

Exercise - 4 runs & 1 bike ride

Food - Made good choices but gained.

Mood - Let down. Working at this and gaining.

I have to work even harder this week. Period.

Scale went down again this morning. Looks like a bit more than a pound but i'll wait a day to make that call.  

Weekend is coming.  We are taking my parents to Claim Jumper on Sunday so I plan to download the menu before I go.  Whatever I order will be dinner and then lunch on Monday.  

The rest of the weekend I should get through without any issues because there are no big plans.

We will see.

Pilates Saturday morning.

Scale remained the same

Stayed in control yesterday with only a small slip up and the scale remains the same.

Plan for the day is a little beyond control but I will take it as it comes.


Walk at lunch - maybe a salad from corner bakery or back to the office for my lean cuisine.

new dress

When I awoke I was not hungry so skipped breakfast. I hear that is not good but even right now i am still not hungry.

Yesterday went well with food but i went from work to teaching and did not exercise. Spent my lunch hour doing a correction to the lesson plan.

Today's plan -

Walk at lunch then my lean cuisine (I like these); yogurt sometime today and my graze snack.

After work - pilates/yoga (whichever they are offering today)

Dinner may be a challenge but i'll…

Some good days.

I had a good day yesterday. I kept calories low & ran 5.5 miles. Today was another good calorie day & I got in a 15.5 mile bike ride in. I wasn't sure if I could as it was raining for part of the day & by 1:00 the sun came out and the trail was mostly dry. I have been so out of the groove lately. Not really sure why. Good Weekend

I had a good weekend both with eating and with exercise. I did miss my Yoga class but made up for it.

Went to the Angels game but planned ahead and brought my own food in - a sandwich. No hot dogs and no beer!

Down 2 to 168 and decreasing. Working toward one more by Friday.

Just Starting

New to this.  Wanted to do a blog hoping it will make me more accountable and found this community blog.  This is good and I hope to support all of you as well.

Tipped the scales yesterday and I know something needs to be done.  I made some changes already.  I joined a pilates/yoga studio.  I began ordering healthy snacks from a company called Graze (this is keeping me from heavy snacks in the afternoon).  I've been walking at lunch when I can but nothing seems to be working.

Week 10 down another pound

I didn't post last week because I was away for a few days to Cape Cod, with my best friend.  We had a great time even though I haven't been feeling 100%. 

I'm honestly not sure how I lost a pound in the last 2 weeks.  We ate out on the cape for all of our meals and I wasn't totally careful.  I haven't been good about logging what I ate for the last couple weeks...But since I haven't felt well I have not had much of an appetite.

9/7/16 planned meals

 Today went very well if I might say so ;-)

I woke up to my alarm at 4:30 as planned, quickly changed into my workout clothes, downed a quick cup of coffee and off I went to the gym. The workout was fun and I came home in a good mood, ready for the day. It seems like the days I spend time on something good for me in the morning end the best way. Labor Day

I just got back from a 16.6 mile bike ride. It was a great day. Not too hot or too cold. When I got up this morning it was thundering & raining. I thought for sure I would be running on the treadmill. I am so glad it turned around & I could get out on the bike. I have gotten so much use out of our bike trail this year. I am going to search some good healthy lunch ideas. I want to get losing weight again.

Happy Labor Day!

We are camping for the weeknd and I am loving the downtime! Been making somewhat healthy eating choices but camping is hard to stay perfect. I'm hoping to check in a few times a week and give/get some support on our journeys. This week should be good since we have Monday off and I am feeling motivated! Off to walk the dog!

Weekly Update - 09/03

Weight - Down 0.4 pounds. Unbelievable since eating was less than stellar.

Exercise - Ran 19 miles this week & bike ride 15.5 miles (the only constant lately)
