I'm A Sprinter...

I know this whole weight loss thing is supposed to be a series of healthy choices added together to equal a life long commitment of health and happiness.  That just doesn't work for me.  I am much more of a sprinter than a marathon runner so I need a short term goal to aim for.  Just so happens that we are four months away from the end of the year and I plan on being in onederland by the time that ball drops at midnight.  Once that happens I will consider focusing on a half marathon.  ;) …

Car trouble has taken much of time during the past 24 hours, as has my new guitar. Taco salad last night for dinner, apples to-day at work, and now sweet peppers and tomatoes dipped in ranch and lake perch just going on the grill.

Daily food/exercise journal

Last night I started to feel like I was coming down with a cold. Woke up with a full head cold and I feel so wiped out! Needless to say, I did not work out today. I have been able to stick to healthy food choices, however. Here is my food journal!

Breakfast: coffee w/1% milk and a splash of creamer, starbucks iced coffee with half and half

Lunch: 3 eggs and a sandwich thin

Meal prep

On my home from work and am thankful for the cooler temps to-day. I enjoyed an apple with a couple slices of buttered bread and my Ruby Reds for breakfast then a couple spoonfuls of leftover Bushes baked beans for lunch. Taco salad again tonight with the Tigers at 7:05.

Lord, keep me mindful of the commitments I have made, especially when I'm tired and at my weakest.

Daily food/exercise journal

Today is the middle of the 3rd week I have been focused on reaching my personal fitness goals. I havent felt this good in years! Daily workouts and healthy eating are energizing me and I feel good in my soul and my body. I am going to be updating my blog daily with meals and workouts!

Tweaking calorie amounts

I've mentioned that I have been reading "Strong Lifts" and after doing the calculations in the book, as well as more research to verify that the info was correct, I've learned that my calorie intake has been too low. 

So two weeks ago I went form 1200/day to 1300/day and I lost a pound that week.  This week I bumped it up to 1400/day and I also adjusted my carb ratio a bit higher.  I'm up a half pound, however I'm sticking to 1400 for a couple more weeks.  First it's almost that TOM,…

Trail running is AWESOME

Just an update to say I am totally loving trail running! It's a great workout, lovely to be out in nature and there are so many events taking place over the running season that I'm spoilt for choice. I have totally reached my weightloss goals since taking it up. I still do gym etc a few times during the week too, but the trails are what I really look forward to.

quick post its pastmy bed time

Worked out every day last week. Swam these last two days. Did great, met all my fit bit goals today. Also weighed in yesterday I lost 2lbs so obviously things are working. Tomorrow I run and walk, then to work where I get my stairs in. Also got my weekly fitbit email tells me all I did last week. I walked/ran 30 miles last week. That's pretty awesome, also did 77 flights of stairs. So I'm proud and this week will be better. Love you all keep up the good work.

First Day is Over

Well - we got the kiddies to school today for their first day and I've been working my butt off all I did was travel from school to school answering emergancy calls today. Been a while and I've gained

It's been a while, since April I believe. I've gained probably about 8 lbs since then. I knew it was happening and I did nothing to stop it. And honestly it wasn't me eating uncontrollably although I wasn't eating great, it was me not exercising like I should. It starts (again) today...

I have been putting on weight since February...I have seen it, felt it, cursed myself for it, refused to by new clothes, denied it...No More.  Today I stepped on the scale and the weight that I guessed I would be was accurate.  It was not something I wanted to see but I had to face it to make myself get back on track.  My eating issues lie with emotional/stressful eating and bored eating.  I literally will be carrying a bag of chips back to my desk and eating them the whole time telling…

Scale Shock - New Beginning

I finally got on the scale. UGH! After many tears, cries, and general anger at myself I decided that August 24, 2014 is my turn around day. My plan? Eat healthy, eat less food, keep up with exercise.
