Ok day

This morning I was so stressed. I laid in the fetal position and had the hardest time getting up. I don't have skills to cope with my emotions without eating them. I felt sick, my nose was sniffly, I was lethargic. I could feel myself nearing the edge of a cliff, scrambling to get back to safer ground. Can't roll over in bed

What's the saying again? "No pain, no gain?" Geez, I am living proof of the pain part! Those weights definitely make you feel the pain....every where. But it's still a good pain :) So I found out today that I have tendinitious in my rotator cuff (not even sure if I am using the right lingo). Hanging in there

I definately didn't stick to my plan food 100% this weekend, but that's okay. I also didn't stick to it 100% yesterday or today, but that's still okay. I did run on my lunch yesterday - whoo hoo!! It was an awesome run. I did the Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred Level 1 at lunch today!!

Sleeping In

I accidentally forgot to set my alarm last night before drifting asleep--I knew I forgot something! So I slept in 45 minutes this morning. I enjoyed it, but had a freak-out when I woke up and realized I was running REALLY late. My hubby was nice enough to take care of the dogs and I skipped a shower (gross, I know).

Sleep in or get a head start early in the morning?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I LOVE to sleep in! Not only is it good for your body to get plenty of rest each night, but I find myself so much more satisfied when eating meals and don't get my usual cravings. I eat less and I feel healthier. Maybe it is because you're essentially sleeping through a meal, but I don't like to think of it that way. I feel so much more rejuvenated and ready for a good workout and a day of healthy meals.

Our little man has arrived!

Well, after 9 months of waiting, our little boy arrived on August 17th at 11:13 pm. It's been 2 weeks now, and other than feeling incredibly sleep deprived, I do not feel like I just had a baby! Two weeks down, a bajillion more to go!

Week three weigh in: 174lbs

Week two weigh in was 175, so I only lost a pound this last week....buuuuut I still think that is pretty good considering I cheated hard core. I had Wendy's, deep dish pizza, and a Chipotle burrito on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday respectively. I still worked out 3 times over the week, and other than those slip-ups I stuck with my diet.

Saggy Sweats

So I have a collection of sweat pants... I'm a big, change into lounge pants as soon as the day is over, generally right after dinner, the bra comes off and the lounge pants get put on. These pants are a different beast then exercise pants. 80/20 rule - Applying it to my life!

Anyone heard of this rule? It means that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. You can read all about the statistical background on Wikipedia. The point is that we spend a lot of time doing things that don't matter! I defintely see it in my work life. I think I feel the results of it in my neck and shoulders at the end of the day. Thanks BTL!

I'm better today, thank goodness. I took cold medicine this morning as a last resort and poof! the headache was gone. It must be a sinus infection. If it continues I'm going to the doctor because I don't want it to be a huge problem later.
