I'm not upset at all I was on target all week and I even started a little bit of exercise. I forgot to discuss with my doctor, last week if I had the ok to start a little bit of exercise. In my head as long as I'm not pushing myself and putting too much strain on my joints I think he would actually welcome it.

I've been working on getting my mojo back after injuring my right knee in March. Thinking I'd just made it sore, I procrastinated about going to the doctor for 2 months. When I finally did, he said I'd torn the cartilage and they couldn't repair it. But, they could do arthroscopic surgery and remove the damaged cartilage.

Today was WI day and I'm down another 1.5 LBS! That's pretty good considering that we had our older daughter's graduation party this past Sunday! It was fantastic but exhausting! I cooked for 2 days then we had the party, it was a blur, then we had to clean up, pack up both cars, drive home then unpack everything, I was exhausted, maybe even a little dehydrated. I felt ill. I feel like working out in the morning is becoming routine. I don't really think twice about it or think of it as an option, I just do it. I like that. I also like that for the first time in my life if I miss a workout or it doesn't work with my schedule, I just move on to the next day. I used to feel like a failure for not being "perfect" but somehow my attitude is different. I'm liking it!
Three years ago, I dropped into this site weighing 10 pounds heavier than my goal weight. I had lost 53 pounds as a WW member and was worried that the weight was coming back. Because I was blogging elsewhere and it was difficult to keep up with two sites, I slipped away from this site.

I completed a 30 minute dumbbell routine this morning! Feels great!
Food wise, I have been doing well the last couple of days. Over the weekend we had a huge family birthday party, so I overindulged there and it leaked into Sunday, but this week has been a healthy one so far!
Gotta go chase the baby!! He is taking off down the hallway! haha.
Week two of the new job under the belt and it has confirmed my first impressions and that is "I have made the best decision!!"
I have gotten in some exercised between the incredible thunder storms with some runs, walks and today a Zumba class. Yeah, a Zumba class. I was pretty spastic, but I did sweat. Although I haven't posted in a few, I do come on to read and comment. I haven't posted about my journey because I'm still not really doing anything. I have a baseline with activity, but eating is still a problem. Also, after throwing myself into strength training, I hurt my back and now I am afraid to do too much activity. I'm not going to sugar coat it. I have had a really tough time over the last year or so! I was diagnosed in February with Rheumatoid Arthritis after being sick with no diagnosis for 2 years. Some relief to finally have a diagnosis but not one that I would ever want. I've lived RA through my MIL, she was very much crippled and I was by her bedside when she passed at the age of 50. Yesterday I pledged to workout in the evening...and I actually ended up working out all day long! I did more house work than usual and it made me sweat and I considered that a workout! Plus add in crawling around with my 10 month old :) I feel like I kept my word even though I didn't do a true "workout video".
This morning we got up and did a warm up, free weights, and ab routine. Feels good!

My 10 month old decided he needed to be up and active at 4:30 this morning! Luckily I convinced him to go back to sleep...but only if I was holding him. Putting him down was a no no. Generally he is an amazing sleeper. He has slept through the night for a long time, but just like any other human, he wakes up at random times every so often.

I've known for awhile that I needed a new challenge--beyond the scale, so when I saw StepBet I decided it was just what I needed for now. Here's how it works: I signed up and paid my $40 fee. They assign me an "active" goal (9,259 steps) that I must meet 4 days a week and a "stretch" goal (12,859 steps) that I must meet 2 days a week. And that leaves one free day a week.
