Just passed one month mark!

I just realized today that I'm a few days past the one month mark of when I started really getting serious with exercise and eating well. I haven't weighed myself and I think I'm going to ask my trainer to hold off on this 'total body analysis' for one more month. Start of the Week Sunday Goals!

Yay!  It's Sunday again, which means another set of goals is just around the corner.  This couldn't come any quicker considering that I felt the start of a binge today.  I go to church for 3 hours on Sunday starting at 11:30. Breakfast Recipes

Strawberry Banana Yogurt Smoothie



Ingredients



6 large strawberries

1 sliced banana

1 cup blueberries

6 ounces plain Greek yogurt

1 cup skim milk

2 tab. Ground flaxseed (optional)



Directions

Place the strawberries, banana, blueberries, yogurt, milk, and flaxseed in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Skinny Sunday the third (weigh in)

I wanted to reflect a little on this week.

 

It's been a pretty meh week. I've felt more of the emotional ups and downs that come with exploring the real reason I've let myself become this way. There has been a lot of introspection on my part. Ha, hahahah-HA! I'm an awesome cook. My hubby told me so.

Remember the massive amount of Ratatouille Sauce I cooked the other day?  Well, it's been frozen and today we had a baggie.  I ended up not using the onion, garlic, basil tomato sauce (which makes it smell like pizza!) and just used the plain one.  So I marked all the baggies with "SEASON!".  I did today, it came out even better than before.  There are like 9 veggies in it, more of the right tomato sauce, and ff chicken stock to stretch it.  I used 1/2 lb ground turkey and one Italian…

Ugh

I totally remember why I never ever wanted to return to my parents' house again in my entire life.  My eye is twitching and I'm broken out in hives.  Why?  Because I hate my father this much.  And yes, I mean hatred.  And at 29 years old, I'm not just having a little temper tantrum.  This is such a toxic person that I never want to come visit again.

I'm an aunt!

This doesnt have much to do with losing weight but my sister had her baby on friday so I am finally an aunt! He was born 8 weeks early (her water ruptured at 30wks and she had to stay there until she delivered). Its kind of cool bc he was born on our grandpa's birthday! Down three pounds!!

So I weighed myself today and I am down three pounds since last Sunday!! That's a total of 14 lbs in the past 2 months. Yeah for me!! Feeling great! Plan to try 5 minute intervals today and maybe do some lower body weights too.

Stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS!!

Well, this week was melodramatic, meltdown central week for me.  I sat yesterday for another section of the CPA exam (FAILED IT) and so all week long I was stressing about that.  I really believe I psyched myself out and caused myself to fail.  I just blanked when I went in to take the test!

Saturday Splurge

I have a pattern to my weeks.  I weigh-in on Friday.  I have my long runs on Saturday mornings.  I have a splurge on Friday night and Saturday.  Then back on track Sunday.  It works for me.  I am successful when I follow this pattern.

Silly WW

WW has told me AGAIN that I'm losing weight too quickly and I need to slow down or I may suffer heart irregularities, anemia and other serious problems.  If I need help losing weight more slowly I could see my doctor.

Any ideas for extra points?

Today was weigh-in day. I'm down 3lbs. I know I should be happier, but, I know that its just the 3lbs.( out of the 5lbs.) I gained at camp. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.  I need some advice from anyone on Weight Watchers. What do you eat at 9:00 PM when you have 12 points left? That was my situation last night. Stocked Up on Goodies

5k jog

Well i have been doing really good with the exercise switching everyother day with a 2 mile walk and  mile jog. Still haven't got the eating where i want it but that will come. So hard to make healthy choices when someone takes youout for pizza or when i go to my in laws and she has mexican food made and is always pushing us to eat. But I need to get my mind set again and i guess not go out if i don't have to.

Something New

Stayed w/in my caloric allotment yesterday. One of the new foods I tried was edamame. Not bad....sort of plain...I wonder if I could use it in some recipes or add something to it (not cheese sauce and other high cal things) to spruce it up a bit?

Got my usual exercise in the morning. 

Today is going to be busy and hot--in the 90s and we have to be outside a lot. Yuck.  Oh well-I'll make the best of it.

Awesome run / upper body workout!!

So I did my upper body tonight and then ran on the treadmill. My stepdaughter kept me company throughout the workout. She'll be 7 in a couple weeks and is starting to take a real interest in working out which is good because she is generally lazy, eats crappy food at her mother's place and is a big chubby (although we don't tell her that).
