I feel a reawakening of that healthy lifestyle urge coming on. Slowly! But surely. 

I took my first walk home after a THREE YEAR break- whoa, I really fell off the cliff on that one! I walked 25 minutes. I didn't have it in me to do the whole 50 minute walk, so I caught the bus to a half way point and walked the rest. I just wanted to break the ice.

First blog!!! One small step...

Ok after a bunch of ups and downs I have decided the only thing I can do is to literally take one thing at a time... Which is the complete opposite of what I WANT to do of course. hitting a lull

I'm having problems keeping myself together. Last week started off awesome but then got scrappy. On Wednesday I didn't work out but I fully intended to exercise after work only to get home and have to take my dog to the ER, she's okay but didn't exercise. Then Thursday to Sunday I was sick. In the middle of a software rollout at work and its been cray-cray.

Random thoughts

Today was sunny so after work I did an hour bike ride. It felt fabulous. I have not been on my bike in a week. The weather was crappy last week so missed my bike days, but did get in my 5k train days in. I have been struggling with a cold so working out has been tough but not impossible. Actually I think working out helps me shorten the cold's length. I am so glad that the rest of the week is set to be perfect.

Week in Review

The weeks are passing quickly. Seems like I was just writing a week in review for last week. I feel like this week was pretty much like last week. I tracked my points, I made good choices. And I lost 0.8 pounds this week. Eh, not as much as I would like, but with a big loss last week, I'm not really surprised. My body is trying to figure out what is happening it. All I can do is just keep trucking along and doing what I know to do.

Not just baby steps, micro-organism sized steps

My last post was on March 24! I didn't mean to be away so long. 

I feel like April went okay. Not good or great, just okay. I felt like I was waking back up to motivation in really small steps. I started thinking about what I was eating more often. I roasted cauliflower a few times. Delicious! Rediscovering that healthy eating can be enjoyable.

Week in review 4/25

Weight - Up .2 pounds. Down 10 pounds since Day 1

Mood - I am doing okay, but this cooler weather has me in a cooler mood.

Food - I am making good choice, but I still find myself snacking at times. Damn salty snacks.

Exercise - I trained 3 days for my 5k & did 3 days of 21 Day Fix DVDs. I find myself liking jogging more.

Date Night

Last night we left the little one for the first time to get away for a little date night. I have an awesome friend that is always insistent that she be the first to watch my kids and I feel completely comfortable with dropping them off there and heading away for awhile. Fabulous Friday

 Today has been good. Ive ate REALLY well, had subway. NOMNOMNOMMMMM. Lol Its pay day so I finally got to fill my fridge up with healthy food for me! YAY. Gets a little bare after a two week wait. Today I Rest

I have been really killing my workouts this week and pushing myself very aggressively to top my own personal best every single day.  I'm not going to lie.  Yesterday there was some pretty loud self talk telling me to take a break but I ignored it and killed the workout in super star fashion.


I am feeling a bit tired and sore from working out plus today is a day off for the husband and we have a FULL schedule including allergy testing for the youngest, allergy and xolair shots…

False Readings

Talk about false readings. Last week was so dang sunny & spring like I thought we were done with winter, then yesterday we had snow,sleet, hail. I mean it just changed hour to hour. I didn't get to bike or run on Monday or Tuesday. But today I did get in a run/walk training in today. Tomorrow is suppose to be nicer & if the wind is a bit calmer, I am going to get in a bike ride after work. Week in Review

Monday nights are my WW night. What a horrible time for a weigh in. Not only is it right after the weekend, but it is at night as well. When I first signed up, that was the only time that wold work for me and I really enjoy the leader, so now it just stuck. It's really not that bad.
