Nothing terribly exciting happened today. I rested, no running or anything. I did do 30 pushups because it was part of the challenge in my little weight loss group on facebook. Tomorrow though is going to be a big day. It's my first official marathon training day! I GET to run 3 miles. I'm excited to start, I feel like it's been a long time coming with lots of build up so it's nice to finally get going. I am so happy that the farmers market starts next week. I am so looking forward to experimenting with seasonal fruits and veggies. Since my kids taste palates are FINALLY returning to their normal state (instead of being dulled by salt and sugar), they allow me to be more creative.
I am working on eating healthy, wholesome, unprocessed foods. Today was a good day. I made good choices and I hit Power 90 Sweat DVD hard. I feel better and tonight I am going to bed just a tad hungry. I've read that it is best to do that in order to allow the body to rest instead of "work" at digesting food. I'm finally admitting to it. I had 4 days with no exercise, I was in a bad mood bc of that. It's amazing really how I become so different just after a few days with no activity. Then Sat hubby said lets go for a walk and we did for 30 mins but that's all bc it was freezing. Then yesterday I had my 10 miler planned, but I was standing up making waffles and thought I was going to faint. I felt so lightheaded. So I ended up spending all day on the couch napping.

What a really great, and productive weekend it's always tough getting started on Monday. Yesterday just happened to be one of my favorite days of the year, making this Monday tougher than usual. My neighborhood hosts a block party, and when the weather is beautiful, there is no place I would rather be. I ate a magnum bar (Gotta really take those OUT of my sight!!), and then went out to eat and had frien ice cream and Fish and Chips. Terrible!!

I didn't want to go to work today. I had a four-day weekend, and I got to spend it with my hubby, and it was sooo nice. :) Hubby spoiled me all weekend. Thursday, he went with me to run errands and he did my laundry and the dishes. Friday, he took me and our niece to the zoo! It's SUPER crazy around my house the past month but I have continued to track my points and workout. My shin is feeling better so I started back on my C25K training this past weekend. I took about 4 weeks off to let my leg feel better. I started right back where I left off and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Today's food was quite fine in terms of activities (about 20 minutes of exercising + 25 minutes of running/jogging) and food. Yet there is something that makes me wondering.
Today, I ate 3 cereal biscuits + 1 cereal bar for breakfast, chicken steak with vegetables for lunch, had 2 corn crackers for snack and ate a lot of soy cubes with vegetables and honestly, I sinned with few gramms of candyfloss. That was my Saturday with the scale.
When I first got up, I had a place to be, so I quickly jumped on the scale. It said 264.3. What the heck? Down .4 since last week? With an average calorie deficit of nearly 2000? Didn't make sense.
Anyway, I took off for a couple of hours, and being busy, I didn't eat anything. When I got back home, I got back on the scale. 261.7. MUCH better! That made 2.9 down from last week. It actually close to matches the calorie…Continue

i took a 2 year hiatus from weight loss and did not get far. i lost 14 pounds last year but it is not enough. i can feel my body protesting against the weight and stress it puts on my body. so i signed up for a gym to weight train and have made walking the dog 3x and jogging at least a mile 3x a week part of my weekly plan. i did run two 5ks in the past 6 months was was exilerating! what a confidance booster running across the finish line. my goal this year is to get down from 216 to 150.…Continue
I did so well-I'm proud of myself.
I ate 2/3 of my lunch at lunch time and then saved the other 1/3 to eat about 90 minutes before we went to the buffet for dinner. So-I wasn't starving when we got there.

Things went pretty well today. I managed to get up and run this morning with little to no struggle. Which is nice. It seems that the early results are showing that taking my meds at night is a good thing and they're helping me more in the feeling rested area. But we'll still have to give it some time to make sure that this is really helping.I also did some yoga after running to count as my stretching. It's relaxing and stretches my muscles really well.

I've decided. Decided to quit eating crap and eat wholesome healthy food. Enough with falling down and losing control. Now that I've decided, it is time to truly commit. You can't "try" to do something. Either you do it or you don't do it. I am going to do it. I'm still working our regularly.
