being honest with myself

This past week ive been working a lot on drinking water and tracking what im eating. Saw a 2 pound drop. Ill take it, but ive also been focusing on tracking what ive been eating and being totally honest with myself. Ive had some.good days, and a couple not so good days but im seeing.now where im falling shirt and I will improve on that.

I got some new tennis shoes as early birthday gift that actually dont hurt my ankle to run in. Even though this may sound trivial, ive had so many… Continue

MFP working on it

I really feel like MFP is helping me get more control.  They say you can't get fat on carrots and oranges but I believe I may have given it a shot. The free fruits and veggies on WW I think were just too much freedom for me.  I lost another pound this week by counting calories. Do I wish it was more? sure! But this is a little more steady and keeps me accountable and keeps me from eating everything in sight! I also really amped up my veggie intake and it is working wonders. Now if I can only…

Bumps in the road

I refuse to call it a setback as that can imply failure however, I did hit a little bump in the road causing me to swerve off path for a quick minute but was able to quickly correct and am back on the original path. I caught myself making excuses and have listened and then fixed my stinkin thinkin and motivated myself again.

This week was a great week! I started a new job which meant new hours and new ways of doing things. I hit that little bump in the road by letting myself get too…

How did I do?

How did I do? Not great, not terrible. Much room for improvement.

2. No dairy I had an Udi Gluten Free Cheese Pizza on Saturday & some cheese popcorn : (

3. No chocolate(although no dairy kind of covers it) I had…

rough days ahead

So good news first I ran yesterday, I was 4 whole seconds faster lol but at least I ran I also did my planking the challenge for yesterday was 40 sec. That was hard but I did it.

Bad news I'm single again, it was rough, I blame myself and I'm going back into the feeling broken mode. I thought for sure I had headed everything off by laying ask my issues out on the table. I tried really hard to be better and I fell short again. Thankfully today was my day off from everything so…

2nd chemo...much better so far...

Well we got the penthouse yesterday at the Cross…it was smaller and much quieter…the nurse was a little frantic when we arrived…the others were on break…but we were made comfortable as always…the nurses are always so wonderful there…

I was left with a bit of a mark still from my last I.V…all the fishing…she used the vein on the top of my arm…she kept saying ” oh this is going to be tricky…like three times” I gritted my teeth and she was literally done t was so in 5

seconds…It…

Weekly WI

I had to weigh in today because tomorrow I committed to going wedding dress shopping with my sister.  We are venturing out pretty early (after she makes us / her wedding party breakfast w/ Mimosas - score!) and will be out much of the day.  The scale was not on my side today.  I was up 1.2, but honestly I think it's because I have been pretty sedentary this week.  I need to get some gusto in my soul!

I travel for work next week and I am determined to make GOOD decisions.  I am…

Empty

We are actually supposed to have a little warm weather next week, so I decided to go through my shorts/capris drawer. This is what I ended up with:

One pair of shorts that I bought last week. Haha. Most of the shorts that I took out were 12/14 (which was down from 18s the previous summer) and are being…

doing good this week

I ran yesterday and did pretty good. It felt amazing it had rained the night before and it smelled amazing. It made the run great. I'm back at 13 min miles. Also did my planking challenge. I'm up to 30 sec. I did go over my calories yesterday and I really shouldn't have but I did so I'm going to have to make yesterday my cheat day. Today I biked 32 min for 7.10 miles. Today I've eaten as I should but I'm under by 608 calories. So I still need to eat more or drink more. Calorie counting is a…

Touching Base

Been a while since I posted and can't believe it is still winter!  I don't care that it's officially spring! When you wake up to 18 degrees that spells winter to me.  Brrrr.

Visited my Mom last week and going to see her is always a challenge because it's not my house with my routine and food.  Even with the extra wine (hey! it's tough) I got in my exercise every day and weighed today and was actually down a pound. Not trying to lose so have to up my calories a bit.

Yesterday at…

I Put Them Away

Well.  I took them out of the closet and folded them.  I plan to put them away later today when I can get some help from the husband.  Even though I gained 70 pounds last year I kept all my smaller sized clothes in my closet as inspiration.  At least that is what I told myself.  The truth is all they did was take up space that we desperately need.  We have been living in such a mess because there just isn't enough room.  So I am putting them away.  For now.  I fully intend to be able to wear…

The Biggest Loser

We are doing a "Biggest Loser" 90 day challenge at work. There are quite a few of us so the winning pot is quite big. Every Monday is weigh in and this past Monday was the first official week of the competition.

I had a really bad week last week. I worked 10 days straight and when I finally got a day off on Thursday, I felt entitled to a treat ....... unfortunately the treat lasted all not only Thursday, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday too!…

Working

I finished up my WW training and can officially "work" a meeting now. I had my first experience with that last night and it went well. I really enjoy talking with the members and getting to experience their journey with them. It is tough when they have a bad week at the scale (because I've been there!), but so fun to celebrate their victories too. Last night one of the members looked at my nametag and saw that I had lost 61 pounds and said "61 pounds?? You don't look like you ever needed to…

Holding Pattern

I feel like I have been stuck in the same loop of healthy and unhealthy behaviors for the past few months.  In all honestly, I did have a serious illness combined with some few life surprises that derailed my initial enthusiasm.  I have lost about 20 pounds from my highest weigh in which puts me at 275.  I've been kind of hanging around there for a while now and I really want to get another 25 pounds off.  Like NOW.  I clearly know why I am not currently losing.  As we have discussed…

feeling good

Swimming has been amazing and I'm loving it. I wish I had done this a long time ago. Mon and Tues are my swim days. Yesterday I swam .71 miles and today I swam .99 miles. Burning a boatload of calories. Yesterday I managed to eat all my calories, today has been a little rough. I had dinner and good meals with lots of calories, and I still have about 430 calories left to go. I think I'm going to have some carnation instant breakfast. Not really a fan of that but it's the only choice I have.…

Missing in action

During the last few weeks I have really struggled health wise - stupid summer cold and sinus. Now in general as soon as I get sick I start expecting the word due to my chronic illness.

So I haven't fallen of the wagon - I'm hanging on. I've been to one "slow power plate" class in a week. I also got a 5km walk coming up in 10 days- my aim was that I would be able to jog some of the 5km at this stage I'm hoping I'm going to be ok to take part even if it is just…

Roni's Challenge

'

Is anyone else going to join in Roni's challenge? I think it is a great idea, especially if dieting issues arise from eating out too often. I needed a small challenge for this week and this fit the bill. I even decided not only will I eat in, I will NOT eat any TV dinners or the like for the week either!

Getting back on track!

Good day so far! Breakfast was a small bowl of oatmeal and a container of activia greek (yum) lunch was a cup of fat free cottage cheese and two cups of frozen fruit thawed out, a banana and a clementine. Good for me! Heres where it turned a bit...when I got home from school I was trying to restrain myself, but I caved. I had two pieces of bread (35 cals each) with some laughing cow cheese which is only 105 calories but I was still sooooo hungry!!!! So I had normal sized oatmeal too. I still… Continue

Here we go again .............

Five years ago, I won my struggle with my weight. I worked hard, and lost 40+ pounds. I look great and felt even better. For the first time in my life I wore a size 6 jeans honestly felt like I'd won the lottery

I soon found that keeping the weight off was , MUCH more difficult than losing it to begin with. Then I fell into the trap of reading umpteen different health and fitness blogs and veering far , far away from what worked for me, my body and my lifestyle, and trying to emulate…

Week 1 My fitness Pal in review

I lost 1 lb.  I felt hungry on rest days which does not make me want to take rest days.  Once I got the hang of it I was ok. I prefer the computer site to the App.  My calories are much less than they were on WW and I can feel my stomach shrinking as the meals I could eat before don't "fit". (in my stomach) Was hoping for a bigger loss but a pound is a pound.  I am bothered that you can not put in strength training for a workout and gain calories from it. :( On with week 2!
