10th Day

I'm in the 10th day and while I have not been perfect, I have done very well.  In the last two days, I did catch myself with a desire for something crunchy.  One night, I dipped into the plantain chips ... which was a better choice than potato chips or some other snack.  Then yesterday in the late afternoon at work .... and it was a long day by the way .... I did it

I did it. I just signed up for my 1st 5k. I am nervous, but want to start to step out of my comfort zone. I have never done a 5k nor am I a runner, but I do exercise on a regular basis. When I read about how much everyone her says about running I wanted to give it a try. I found a few training schedules. I plan to start my training the 1st week in April. Do you Workout when Your Sick?

So we've planned a Vacation in May! (64 days to be exact) I can't wait!! My Husband, and our 2 Sons are going on a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. Still at it.

So I biked last Wed which I think I posted about. I ran on Thursday and got in 1.96 miles or something like that so my pace on the indoor track and my pace outside are pretty close which i'm happy about. Friday I swam for 30 min even though when I got home I realized I needed to go 35 but whatever I'll get over it. Saturday I rested but still got in my 10k steps. Sunday I biked kept my pace at 10 mph to 10.5 mph and I'm pretty happy with that. Yesterday I swam and then biked, but since I…

After my meltdown last Monday, I weighed myself this morning and drum rollllll.....

Monday morning my scale read 191 it reads 185.

I can't explain it

I can't explain it, but I don't feel as fat as I did after my latest workout. I have decided to just continue with the 21 Day Fix diet plan. I started my 2nd round of 21 Day Fix. Yesterday & today's workout went really well & I did good sticking to plan. Not perfect, but I did make all good choices. I am going to go to bed just a little bit hungry and I think that it a good thing. It is so much easier to sleep.

Monday Weigh-in.

I weighed in this morning and I am down 2.8 pounds since I started WW 3 weeks ago.  Sure it's not a lot but I'm thrilled!  This means the scale is finally moving in the right direction and I'd rather lose it slowly so it doesn't come back as fast.  My brother's wedding is in 2 weeks and the bachelorette party is this upcoming weekend so I know the next couple weeks will be difficult.  But this little success is giving me motivation to keep going.

Trying to get on track

So the hubs has been doing a biggest loser competition at work since the beginning of the year and he is totally killing it. It's like he just flipped a switch and that was it. It's great because he doesn't want to go out to eat much anymore and isn't suggesting evening ice cream, so it really helps to keep me on track. Weekend Success!

Happy Sunday! It was 36 degrees here in Boston today and honestly it felt like a heat wave! It's amazing how great I felt just with a little bit of sunshine and a break from the cold.

I made it to the gym both days this weekend, ran 3.5 miles Saturday and 4.0 today. I call that a success! I feel good ending the weekend with a very healthy day today. I did eat a bit too much yesterday (i.e. an entire small veggie pizza) but I did get 30,000 steps yesterday and shoveled for an…

Week in review - Zero Again : (


No weight loss this week. Ugh! It is the 3rd week in a row. Total loss since day one is still 7 pounds. It is beyond frustrating. I did have a loss on the 7th but the number has remained the same since 2/7 UGH!

A Good Day

Snowed In

Anyone else tired of all the snow?? I know there are places that are far war than Ohio that have a ton more snow than us, but we have pretty much been shut down this week because of snow and cold temperatures. Several days we had actual temperatures in the negatives, with windchill as low as -25. Pretty miserable for this southern girl. Good Morning!

Its dreary and cold outside, but I have such a happy spirit today.  My first three days of this detox has me feeling so good.  For the first time in a few weeks, I do NOT feel bloated.  My stomach isn't poof'd out and I can bend down and tie my shoes without feeling like I am going to explode.  I am also excited to visit my hairdresser later today and do something about these 50 Shades of Gray on the top of my head. ..... oh joy!…

Running to lose weight

The breeze on my face, feeling the cold air go in and out of my lungs with every breath and the burn in my calves. Now, while these might sound like negatives of running, they are the things that make it almost an addiction for me. I remember when I went for my first run a  few months ago. So not looking forward to weigh in

I am so not wanting to get on the scale tomorrow. I really don't want to be disappointed 2 weeks in a row. I just feel that this week will not be good. I made good choices and I am completing week #3 of my 21 Day Fix. No, I am not one of those people who can claim I lost crazy, insane amount of weight. Ugh, why can I not be someone who can lose weight quicker? I guess I am just in a funk. I will weigh in tomorrow & just accept it.
