Diet-To-Go First Impressions

This is only my third day on the Diet-To-Go Program.  I chose the Low Fat, 7 day/3 meals a day option so that I could start with the complete experience.  My intent was to do this for 2 weeks, then switch to the 5 day program.

Diet To Go - who else has been using it?

It's The Same Game

I have kept one foot on each side of the healthy line this week.  I have gotten a few work outs in and I have added some healthy and at home eating to the routine, but I just don't think it is enough.  I'm hanging around 275.  Some days I'm a few pounds higher, some days a few pounds lower, but the scale always ends up back at 275.  Looks like there is no denying it.  I have to kick this into high gear if I want to see any results.  And I do!

It is almost March

It is almost March. I have made my commitment to regain my balance with exercise and portion control. I have had 3 days of snack free evenings so far in prepping for my 30 days challenge. Not Depression/Illness--I Hated My Job

Essentially I spent 2013 trying to find explinations of why I was so miserable, tired, and sick with headaches, fatigue, and stomachaches.  I gained 25 pounds.  Went to numerous doctor's appointments, therapists, life coaches.  Tried different meds, light box, etc. 


Guess what was wrong with me-----Nothing!!  I was working at a job that I hated.  How do I know this?  Because I have since left that job and all of my symptoms are gone.

A Month in reveiw( not weight related)

So surgery was on January 27th...It was a little scary considering it was also my first surgery ever...except my tonsils when I was

All went well...clear margins...they pulled 4 lymph nodes...but all looked good...was sore and tender for about a week and half...but by the two week mark I was feeling pretty good...had most of the motion back in my shoulder and I was only a little tender here and there...

Eating under control-CHECK

So I've managed to get my eating habits back on track.  I'm trying to drink all the h2o but I struggle with that every winter.  I've still yet to get a workout in.  I'm in the mental preparation stages.  I had planned on beginning this past weekend but I woke up with a stiff painful neck that I had slept funny on and I'm having trouble with my right wrist and arm.  I'm not sure what the are issue is but I'm hoping it passes quickly and I can start working out soon!

Finding middle ground

Falling off the wagon!

My fellow BTL family, I am falling off the wagon.  It is such a struggle having a challenging job that involved travel.  I planned last week, I really did.  However I did not fully execute on that plan and just found myself eating, eating, EATING all sorts of crap that was well over my point allocation for each day.  I stepped on the scale on Sunday morning as was up SIX pounds since my lowest WI with WW.  SIX DAMN POUNDS!  I need to get serious again.

Off to a good start

Today went well. We got up early and hit Panera Bread for breakfast. So i had a really crazy workout today. I decided to swim 10,000 yards today (400 lengths of the pool) because i felt like i hadnt challenged my body in a while so i said why the heck not? To make it even harder i didn't just swim freestyle I did mostly other strokes and to up the stakes again i only had 3 hours to do it. 10000 yds is equivalent to 5.7 miles of swimming. Getting there...

So I got up and ran on Friday. I wasn't terribly fast but I ran. I twas really really cold outside. It was stated that it was 22 degrees but there was a bit of wind chill going on to add to that. My lungs were burning a little bit. But the dogs and I went running and that's what counts.

Today was a mess!  With all the snow we are getting warm weather and rain so the streets are a mess.  I was in the city today for a dentist appt and when I got home was supposed to go to the gym.  Uh, not so interested!   But I thought of Roni and WYCWYC and decided to stop at the fitness center to at least get 12 minutes (I had already walked fast for 18).

She is so right!  I ended up doing mins on the treadmill + 10 on elliptical.  No matter what, keep moving and do WYCWYC!
