Gone!

The accursed Girl Scout Cookies are GONE! I showed some restraint this year and didn't buy a CASE of Thin Mints.

Now...the cheese I bought for Cheese and Cracker tray on the other hand....whoo boy. Apparently childbirth does something to your tastebuds. Oh Im still around..

 So okay Ive been slacking like a Motha lately. Im not going to sugar coat it at all. Ive been eating pizza having girl scout cookies drinking tons of soda yeah. Idk why. Im not like over eating though, all in moderation. Still felt guiltyyyy~~~

Long Time No Blog

I've been so busy reading/replying to everyone else's that I haven't blogged in a while! :)

 

I think things are about the same with me.  At least 6 days a week, I do well, usually.  I didn't do so great on Valentine's Day and I was not great on my daughter's birthday. (but better than Vday)

Bring on March

Well, it seems that I have survived the month of celebrations. And not too worse for the wear. Weigh in for the DietBet starts tomorrow and I will be close. Fingers crossed that when I step on that scale I will see a payoff. Even if I don't make it, I still call February a success because it could have been a disaster and it wasn't! I am proud of the choices I made and the amount of exercise I got in this month.

7-day junk food challenge

For 2013 the company I work for implemented a Wellness program - last week we had an introduction to meditation, today we kick off a 7-day junk food free challenge.  Now, I know what "junk food" is - this should be easy, right.....    I'm on 2 weeks of giving up diet coke, I've had 2 cans in 2 weeks, rather than 2+ per day and really I don't miss it.   Not sure what the 7-day will have me giving up, I have a few crutch foods I used (even on WW - I count them but they're not good....).   Time…

Snowed In (Again)

More snow has hit and school has been canceled again.  I just spent most of the day prepping sub plans for Thurs and Fri since I will be gone to a conference, but those sub plans may be moot!

I'm excited about my conference--I present on Friday and I'm nervous about that, but I'm happy to be going. It always makes me excited to teach.

Scientists and drive-thru veggies

I've puzzled here on the blog why, if the equation more calories out than more calories in = weight loss, my body seemed to defy simple math. I discovered a researcher today who says that this calorie in/calorie out formula is not correct. Why have I never heard of Gary Taubes before?

Two lines!

I can't tell myself to be cautious and avoid being excited and happy. I just want to be happy right now, no matter what happens. I just got the first positive pregnancy test that I've seen in two years, after a series of 3 miscarriages. Of course I hope that this pregnancy will result in an actual baby, but right now, I am actually so so happy just to see that stick get a second line! Wednesday, hump day

Goal for the week

I have been slacking a bit and have made it my goal to faithfully use MyFitnessPal for the rest of the week. I do so much better when I log my food and track my calorie intake and workouts on that site. It's time to get back to my good habits. My classes start up again today so life will get even busier. Without tracking my eating I could easily lose control and I don't want that to happen!

20 Weeks...

...until my sister's wedding! It's time to start being serious about working out and watching what I eat. After being pregnant and/or breastfeeding for the past 2 and 1/2 years, I've allowed myself to always eat what and however much I want with reckless abandon. I am currently at 70 lbs (yep, you read that right) more than my normal weight.

Body Revolution Day Something

I think I've made it to Day 16 of Body Revolution.  Or at least I know this is the second day of my third week.  (I didn't post anything about last week since the workouts were just a repeat of the first week and I already said anything worth saying about those.)

Another Snow Day

Interesting.....

     The big news this morning is the Mediterranean 'Diet'. Olive oil! Fish! Fresh fruit and veg! Nuts! WINE! (No kidding!)Not to reduce your waistline per se, but to  cut stroke and heart disease. Yesterday was tough

Well I had a rough day with work and family yesterday and ended up eating everything in sight. Well today isn't shaping up to be much better. Between the water in my basement, flat tire, 4 fighting 3 yr olds, a sick husband and 6 moth old I have no clue where this day is heading. I am doing my best to stay away from the fridge but it seems to be calling my name.
