Couch to 5K W1D2

I finished Week One Day 2 today. Hooray!

I was a little sore after Day 1, so I am hoping that I am feeling okay tomorrow. I really made an effort to stretch out today after my workout. Tomorrow I am going to do a quick cardio workout, the tables with weights, and the zumba class. I am really looking forward to the zumba class. Strategies for those moments of weakness we all experience....

I had a fabulous day on plan today. Got in a morning run/walk combo, ate super clean, and drank LOTS of water. I even went for another walk after work with the kids which was so fun! Our weather in Phx. is perfect for afternoon walks this time of year. I was thinking when the heat comes I should hop in the pool for a quick swim after work just to stay away from the pantry ;o)

well, i love many things, but right at this moment, I am loving my Juice Plus Complete chocolate/banana shake. Oh. My. Word. is it yummy.

Day 1 of DO OVER!!

Today was a good day

 

Slept in (well for me 835, is late)

Took the pups to the beach and walked! That was super fun esp for my little guy (tynie) he loved it!

I also brought my camera and took some shots of our adventure at the beach  it was a gorgeous day to start in the 70s then it got cloudy and rainy!!  

 

Breakfast was pancakes, scrambled egg and turkey sausage

I'm doin good :)

I have been going strong for 2 or 3 days straight... I think 3 but I can't really remember. Today and yesterday, at least, have been very, very good for me, diet and exercise-wise! Weigh-In Fail

I didn’t go home this weekend and therefore stood up my scale for our weekly date. I’m sure that Frank will forgive me for the slight. It wasn’t personal; I just had too busy of a weekend in Seattle to make the trip out to Issaquah. See, this is why I’m moving into downtown. Sleeping on my mom’s couch bed is not the most comfortable or restful thing ever. It does come with the perk, though, of waking up to eggs and bacon.

One Tired Monday

I got coffee with a friend yesterday late afternoon and boy I wish I hadn't!  I'm not sure if that coffee was super-concentrated or what, because I usually do not have a problem going to sleep even with caffeine in my system, but last night I just could not get to sleep.  It may have partly been the fault of a bad storm, but either way this morning I was dead tired.

I have a goal!

Finally, I have a goal! I just couldn't decide what I wanted my 2011 New Year's Resolution to be. So I've been resolution-less.

Week 4 Weigh In...

UP by .2 ounces. I'm not devastated even though I have been doing really well in my work outs. It goes to show you that you really need both- diet and exercise. That's why I'm so excited to have joined Weight Watchers today. I hope this program along with the support of my fellow WW participants will push me further to reach my goal.

Recipe Swap

HCG Diet Round 2, Phase 2, Day 4 181.8

Yesterday I only ate some cabbage, 100g chicken, and 2 apples. The food really grossed me out so I didn't want to eat more of it. I weighed before peeing this morning, oh well. Noticed my mouth was really dry all day yesterday, this morning it seems to sort of be going away. I forgot my shot this morning so I'll have to do it this afternoon. So far so good. back on track, Power Foods here I come!

So I had a rough couple of days, what with eating junk and drinking wine. My weigh in had me at the same weight as last week at least, no loss though which I would really love to see. I did some soul searching and realized that my most successful times with losing weight had two things in common:

1) eating clean foods and

2) consistently exercising.

Day Twenty Two (Week 4, Day 1)

Morning Scale:  149.8

This Week's Loss:  0.2 lbs

Total Loss:  2.6 lbs

 

1.  So, the scale was my friend this morning.  Very, very, very glad.  I was seriously ready to just chuck all of my efforts since nothing seemed to be happening.  0.2 for the whole week is not great, but it's not the gain I thought I would post so in that respect, I am happy.

2.  Hungry again when I woke up this morning which means I didn't overeat last night.

Relaxing day

I was, quite frankly, lazy today.  Did some grocery shopping and went to a restorative yoga class, but that was it.

 

It was heaven.

Tempted but did not give in!

The four small meals a day is working for me! I am so excited, I could never stick to 1500 calories a day for more than a few days without the help of appetite suppressants. Now I am! I am never the girl who takes home leftovers or leaves food on her plate but I was this week and it didnt kill me. I even ate healthy on my birthday, my birthday meal was roasted veggies and seared scallops and I did not waver. People at work brought cookies and donuts, and i only had a small bite of zucchini…

Fluctuation

Well, it's disheartening to go back and read my former blog posts. I haven't really been making any progress. Granted, I haven't really been trying, but still... it's annoying to have the same obstacles in my life year after year.

A Roniesque "Sensational Sunday"

The major thing that makes this Sunday sensational for me, is that I ran a near- 10k today! It's been a long time since I could run that far, although in younger fitter days a good decade ago my daily run was 6 miles. I also ran it alot faster.
