Still at it!

Hello! Is anybody out there?  I got to leave work early for the snow today :)   I'm still at it losing weight. I'm using my fitness pal for tracking.  I'm doing meal prep and using my kitchen scale and I'm sticking to it really well.  However, the bathroom scale is moving in super, duper slow motion and it's starting to get frustrating.  I think I might need to drop my calories down a smidge.  I'm only 5'2 and I sit at a desk all day.  I think I'm going to drop down a little and see what…

Happy New Year!

I can't believe how quickly time flies! Well I'm back to tracking my food with my fitness pal and I have already lost 2 pounds :) Sure it's not much but it's just the motivation that I need to move forward. I'm feeling much better than I have felt in a long time and taking this opportunity to get my habits in order and move toward getting my weight back to a healthy place. Still Tracking After All These Years

Back in 2010 it became clear to me that I had to do something about my weight which had crept up to the mid 220's and it wasn't coming down. As a first step I decided to track what I ate and set a reasonable calorie goal. What I didn't do was commit to staying within that calorie goal so when dinner rolled around and I was almost out of calories, I'd say "Oh well! there's always tomorrow," and just eat. It certainly showed me why I wasn't losing weight.

Weekly Update - 1/3

Weight - Down .4 pounds.

Exercise - Running 5 days a week. I have cut back since I am not sure if I hurt my high hamstring. I ran 15 miles.

Food - I am making better choices. I did not gain weight in the last 4 weeks of December.

Mood - Positive.

2016 was better than 2015. Although I am not at goal, I lost 15 pounds from 1/1/2016 - 12/31/2016. I ran 5 races in 2016. Here is to 2017.

Day 1 complete

My day is over. I'm about to get a shower and hit the hay. I did all I said I was going to do today. This morning Jason (DH) and I did our first CD from the Focus T-25 series. It was tough but we made it through. I wasn't dripping sweat as I do with Insanity, but my body, calves especially were feeling it.

2017 Resolutions

So cliche! New Year's Resolutions. It's a new year, a new me. Not that I don't like the current me, but in order to want to change, you must be dissatisfied with how you are now. And so...I resolve to change starting today, January 1st...what better day is there? A bonus too, since it is Sunday, again... a perfect day to start! Today I blog and make my SMART goals.
