Cutting Sugars and Sugar Detox?

One fascinating thing about tracking food in My Fitness Pal is that even though I am under my calorie count, my sugars are really high.  Does anyone have advice on cutting sugar or doing a sugar detox?

Signed up for the 1st

I have signed up for my 1st 5k race for 2016. I have been doing all my running on the treadmill for a few months. The weather here dictates that I do. I have been trying many of the preprogrammed runs & my speed has finally improved. I am even looking for a 10k to do this year. They are not common but I think I should be able to find one somewhere near my home. Crazy Week

Its been a crazy ass week here in NC - starting with the Panthers are going to the Superbowl.  The whole place is buzzing with excitement.

Because of the wintery mess that blew in last weekend - schools were out until Thursday; but I had to work anyway.  Monday morning I had to go clean one of my sites mgr offices because of a roof leak.  All over her computer and there was about 3 inches of water on the floor.  Sucked.

These scales say I'm how old?!?!

Okay, I've been checking results for a week with this fancy new scale. All the readings for things like skeletal muscle and visceral fat placed me firmly in the "oh, my, you need help now" range. In fact, the electronic marvel told me that my True Body Age was 80. Yep, 80 years old. That's older than my mother. Am I really walking around in a very elderly body? Sure feels like it at times.

Friday Funday... lol

Im so sad

 Today I got on the scale... that FKN SCALE! Thinking to myself, this is going to be a great day, youve been doing amazing. This is going to make you so happy. In a BAD funk

I have been doing so good then over the holidays I gained 5.4 pounds. ok I can deal with that, it's probably normal for most people. The week after I kicked butt and lost 5 of that in one week, Awesome right. 40pds in 4 months for my 40th birthday

I restarted the Atkins plan today and I must say I have not felt hungry at all even after my circut training. Since I work at home I use my workout dvds as well as Daily Burn to make sure I am on track. I have 4 months until I turn 40 and I want to celebrate it loud and proud however I want to feel good in my own skin while doing it so I am going to press myself hard and get myself to that happy point. I actually have 70 pds to lose but 40 is a great start.

Weekly Update - 1/24

Weight - Up 0.4 pounds

So this week kind of went as planned. I got all of my workouts in as planned, and delivered the meals to my dad. However, what had started out as a minor sore throat turned into full blown sickness on Tuesday, and I was miserable for most of the week. Snow'd In

According to North Carolina standards, I am snowed in. Yeah, its laughable I know.  We got a dusting of snow followed by ice and another dusting of powder overnight.   While others in the Northeastern states are literally buried under, yet here I sit stuck in my house.  Why? Because we don't know how to plow and properly care for roadways ... especially on the back country roads where I am.

Fabulous Friday

   Well Ive had a great day~ I ate subway and that was yummy in my tummy :P After that I went it to my lil basement gym and busted out a 45 minute Turbofire session! Let me tell you something no matter what other exercise I try, this one ALWAYS trumps any of them.
