No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
So I finally did it. I decided to join up with Weight Watchers again. Last time around I only signed up for their online tools. This time I signed up for meetings plus their online tools. There's just something about being weighed by someone else and the accountability that provides. I'm excited about it. Lately I've been trying to watch what I eat but find it so difficult to be consistent. Having a plan and being organized is really what works for me. I'll be going to the Monday…Continue
Yesterday, I woke up feeling pretty good after taking a personal inventory of the fitness items I had on hand. I then experienced an "A-Ha!" moment that helped me realize that my work-outs don't need to be a chore, at which point I felt extremely motivated. I was ready to conquer the world! Thirty minutes later, clad in yoga pants and a comfy t-shirt, I was ready for my trail hike and eager to enjoy the miraculous and beautiful outdoors.
And then the phone rang.
It was the…Continue
Chantelle you got me thinking.....Now that I recognized my failings - what do I do to turn myself around?
My mom use to be a bowler. And when I was a kid she would take me and my brother to the bowling ally. Back then they used paper forms to keep score. When ever one of us would throw gutter ball after gutter ball she would draw a fence between the next frame in hopes that would end a bowlers bad streak.
Today I am drawing a fence on my next frame. I need to end the…Continue
HaHa. If you're a football fan you would get a laugh out of that one. (GO PATS) If you're not, google deflate-gate.
In all seriousness I feel deflated. It started last Friday and it lasted all last week up to and including take out last night at 9pm. I think it is from seeing some quick and easy results the first two weeks I was on track combined with some emotional eating of a difficult week at work and home. Not a recipe for success in my…Continue
1.2 pounds from last week. Down 5.4 from day 1
I still cringe when faced with the mirror. I got big butt & thighs.
I did my PiYo/T25 routine this week. They are 30 minutes so no excuses. I did buy 21 Day Fix. I start that on Sunday.
Working in an office that receives “samples” of snack…Continue
So my alarm went off at 530 morning and I saw the snow all over the ground and it was still snowing and all my ambition flew out the window and I went back sleep for almost another 2 hours. I got up packed my gym stuff and headed to work. I was bored out of my mind nothing to do and the scrappy weather made me lazy. So I skipped out at noon, bit I didn't waste the time I went to the gym and swam my 30 minutes. I got .57 miles in and then I hopped on the treadmill and did a mile to help with…Continue
In shock at how fast this week went. I have just started doing my "real" practicum at the hospital (havn't been doing much hands on until this point, mostly just talking to patients, etc), and I must say, I like it a lot more than I even thought I would. Stress is a big theme through it all, though. Stress to get all my assignments handed in and all my readings done, stress about getting decent grades, stress about doing things I've only ever read about how to do. It really hit me…Continue
It has been three weeks now since I made that fateful decision not to be an obese, unhealthy middle-aged cow strapped to an oxygen tank.
Since I began my "journey of enlightenment", I have successfully stayed away from cigarettes, avoided Jack n' the Box and McDonalds, and started moving....ALOT. Suffice to say, I have lost 10 pounds! Not bad!
Having a fitness tracker DOES help. Talking your friends into getting the same kind as you have, so that you can all motivate each…Continue
I was so exhausted yesterday I never updated. I got up and did my biking. I did all 35 minutes I was really proud of that because I wasn't sure I would make it. I did 6.35 miles in that 35 minutes. Slower then where I need to be but still did pretty awesome. And I killed my step goal with 13000 again. I'm doing really well on my steps this week and I'm currently leading in the fitbit challenge but I don't know that I'll win. My friend has been kicking my ass late in the evening so we'll see…Continue

This always happens when I start to lose weight. The first few weeks I have big losses and it makes me nervous that it is too good to be true. So I eat. A lot. Since I have now lost 25 pounds so quickly I have noticed that I am weighing and measuring out my food less often, and willing to go out to eat more often, and allowing the sweets to sneak back in. Curse you Cadbury Mini Eggs!
Yesterday was a tough day at work. I learned two different complex procedures and was feeling a…Continue
Soooo, I fell off the band wagon but I am 27 days back on. I am tracking EVERYTHING and working out 5 days a week. My kids are also working out with me. I am seeing a nutrionist and learning to make some healthier choices..
Starting weight 303
Current Weight 281
Pounds lost so far = 22 total!
The Kid and I were struck down by a major cold! Good thing it was right after our trip to Vegas, but dang, it is hard to be on track when you are sick, and all you want are homey yummy food.
Vegas was almost completely on track, with the exception of exercise, however I averaged 18,000 steps so I figured that I was OK with that. I also split meals with The Kid, who is 9. The kid meals are smallish for him, and a split meal is perfect. I also talked my husband out going…Continue

I am approaching the three week mark of being cigarette free! I decided to get my butt moving with the help of a trendy little fitness tracker called the UP by Jawbone. With its help, I have been able to log an average of 11,000 steps every day for the last week. I am very proud of myself and, also, very sore! Today was, by far, the hardest. I am starting to drag a bit. I need more sleep, I think. Next week I will work on my sleep patterns. This week, I made it to the gym, ran stairs every…Continue
So my alarm went off this morning and I tried convincing myself that it's supposed to be a rest day so why not actually make it one, even though I know that I really need to get in strength training because it'll help in the long run. So I went back to sleep. I did walk our 2 miles at work and I had in all 10k of my steps by the time I was off work. But I bugged myself all day long about being lazy and skipping on my strength training and harassed myself until I got off my ass and went to…Continue
So glad I found this blog again after... well about three years hahaha. I was cleaning out the inbox of my old email address and there it was!! Time to get back on track. My best friend's wedding is coming May 2016, and I am due to deliver my second baby this August 2015!!
