No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
The first thing that I'd like to say is --- I am so glad that I found this little community. What a blessing you have been. People - Ladies - just like me. Your support throughout the month has really helped to keep me going. I feel like when I say it here - I have to do it. I have to hold on to the integrity of my words. If I declare I'm going to do it --- then I need to do it. Not like you would judge me if I ate a candy bar or totally fell of the wagon -- but I felt accountable in…Continue

This week had gone mighty fast. Monday I had went to gym with a whole new level of confidence. I did fifteen minutes on the elliptical which was very intense, I did eight minutes on the bike and eight minutes on the treadmill. I did wall sits fourty five minutes each and about forty forty-five squats... Going there I felt confident but leaving I was in PAIN!
I had to skip gym threer days because my leg pain, I mean this is a very intense pain. I walk around all day because I attend…Continue
I was pretty scarce throughout January, was still trying to get back in the groove after the holidays - this week I had to shake my head when I realized February was this week - yikes!
Rather than saying I'm going to do this or that daily - my plan for this month is to keep working Weight Watchers & use my Activelink to track as much activity as I can (I mainly wear it at work and since I sit it's/I'm not moving much).
I'm going to walk or exercise at least 3 days a…Continue
Im just beginning my blog. Ill be updating later with other workouts. So let me tell you girls about my love of Turbo Fire. It is amazing I truly love it!! It's very hardcore and face paced brings your heart rate up during the first 5 minutes of warm up. lol That kind of work out. So...here is the situation. Ive had Turbo Fire on my old computer and I could connect it though my xbox to play on my large living room tv. That was excellent. After I switched computers for some reason my xbox…Continue
Oh gosh. This week has gone by SO fast that it's hard to believe it's pretty much done. I've been on pins and needles all week. My husband is the coach for the world debate team for Mexico. He has been in Turkey with his team since Saturday competing in the world championships. They have only lost one debate round out of 6 so they will definitely advance to the elimination rounds with a chance of being the world champions! It was a tough and very last minute decision but this was something I…Continue
0.6 lbs. away from my Goal for January. So close!! So, i'm out $20....But I'm seeing numbers that I haven't seen since the baby was born. If I wasn't such a nice person and agreed to bake all those cookies for a guy Hubby works with, who does prison ministry, I might have squeaked in! I have a slight affinity for cookie dough....and the finished product....And the next day when the chips are hard again... Basically, I'm a victim of my own success. I love my cooking! lol Being so stinking…Continue
So one thing I decided to do when I lost those 60 pounds last year was to donate all my clothing each time I dropped a size. I was totally in the zone and so happy to be there. I never once thought for a second that I would ever gain any of the weight back and actually need those clothes again. In fact, I actually felt as though giving away the clothes was additional support that the weight could never come back again. After all, if it did I wouldn't have anything to…Continue
Roni recently blogged about her mantra in Italy being "I'm IN." I loved that post because I am tired of sitting on the sidelines. I am tired of being worried that I can't do something. I am working to get to the point that I am up for anything. Rock climbing? No problem. New class at the gym? No problem. An afternoon jog? No problem. Ok, so I'm not there--yet. But I am working on it. And I refuse to wait until I get to my…Continue
Yep, I'm tired, but in a good way. Trying to increase my exercise daily. Today I did double what I did a week ago (in minutes--it wasn't much to start with) That's how I have to look at it. To play numbers games in my head. If I look back at 4 months ago and the workouts I was doing then, I feel like a wimp and a failure. But today I did more than yesterday and I know I've done my best so far for the day.
Eating has been going just fine this week. We have lots of fruits and veggies in…Continue
Ok- here it is!!! :)
With the help of my life couch I have made a plan for myself. At this point I have kind of lost faith in myself and my abilities to lose this weight. If I can have 1 successful week, I think I will believe in myself again. If I can have 1 successful week, I think I will feel motivated again. Just 1 week!
I don't know about in America- but here in England an eating plan called 5:2 has become an overnight sensation. A doctor here did a program on the BBC…Continue
At first I thought I wanted to start over. A clean slate. But then that would negate all the hard work I have done for the past 8 years. WOW! I have been on this journey for 8 years. The first 3 years I lost 80 pounds. The next 3 years I worked at maintaining the loss. I had ups and downs those 3 years. 7 pounds on and off, on an off.... The 7th year of my journey I had surgery on my foot which turned into a LONG fiasco. I ended up on the couch for the better part of a year. The 8…Continue
So here are my workouts for the day
I worked out to 40 minutes of kickboxing this afternoon
Followed that up with 30 minutes of weights
Then I did 15 minutes of ab work and thighs on the floor
Ended it with an hour treadmill workout that was hard. Kept the incline up to 6 for 45 minutes. :)
Posted that shiz on my fb I have to admit I love the comments. I feel like a Badass tonight.
Bad day, bad food. Let's put it this way, thank GOD for do-over's. I did exercise so the entire day wasn't a complete bust. I just wish I could overcome these binges. It is usually sugar related and one taste & it was all over. Since it is so close to the end of the month, I feel like I am getting a fresh slate with February. Here is to tomorrow. May it be fantastic for all of us!
I've moved on to the organic section of Omnivore's Dilemma and as a result I'm feeling little hippyish as a result. Okay, a lot hippyish; so please bear with me.
Food is a powerful part of our civilization. Up until pretty recent history population sizes were greatly effected by the abundance or scarcity…
That's really all there is to say about that.
I'm struggling. And it hurts.
Just finished a 40 minute walk and am sitting down with my yummy smoothie--but for the first time it gave me brain freeze! Oh well. It's delicious.
Lots of appointments and things to get done coming up here in the next couple of weeks. I want to stay focused on my health and work it through without ditching my healthy efforts (again).
For those of you that do (or have ever done) Weight Watchers...
Did you typically use your extra weekly points and/or your activity points?
In the past, I have eaten a handful of my activity points, but never all of them. Now I am working out more and earn at least 30 activity points a week. I have been eating about 20 of my extra points. I have had decent losses, but I am just curious what would happen if I ate all of my activity points. Something about that…Continue
