I've decided that maybe I should back off on the weights a little bit. I did them today, but I'm going to skip them until Saturday. I'm thinking I'll also skip yoga on Thursday this week. My elbows hurt, and I'm not sure if it's the weights or the downward-facing dog. Possibly both. I just don't want to make it worse. After that, I'll just do them every other day, and eventually increase reps or whatever. I don't think I'm doing myself much good by doing the same thing every day 4-5 days…Continue
Ok, I need to be honest, but Sunday I did not do a 3AM workout because I was so exhausted from the ER trip with my baby. I figured it was more important for my body to get rest than to stress it out and only get 4 hours of sleep. I don't know what's going on. Maybe it's the weather this week - dark, gray, polluted, cold and rainy yesterday and today. I still maintain that the weather doesn't make a difference in my mood but my husband says otherwise and blames it on that. Ughhhhhhhhhh! Quick post about my cruddy day. The realtor called this morning, and while the seller had verbally accepted our offer last night, after sleeping on it, they decided to counter instead. It was so ridiculous and petty, my husband and I had a long talk about the situation. We both love the house, but were already paying a bit more then we wanted, so after out long talk we called the realtor and basically told her to tell them to shove it. It has been a busy week. I survived my trip to Seattle last week and I was actually able to lose 1.4 pounds so I was super excited. Learned that the world did not end if I passed by a bakery without stopping. Learned eating half a cheeseburger and fries will not cause me to gain 5 pounds. Learned the value in planning ahead before a trip and talking myself out of bad choices but giving into a few special choices.

Not the healthiest day. I've been trying to get veggies in at every meal, but today I did not do as well as I had been.

I woke this morning feeling suprisingly good. I just finished up my second dvd and it wasn't as intense as the first but still let me feeling like I can take on the world. Hi All! Am at Starbucks for the afternoon and decided to try their Mocha Light Frap. I was surprised that it didn't taste so bad. They said it was made with nonfat milk. I am 4.4 lbs down.. and riding the high from that. 6 more ounces and I will have lost a 5lb of sugar.
This analogy works for me because it is visual. That 5lb bag of sugar was on my body. To have the gone and see is a great feeling.

I am a coffee drinker. Before I do anything else for the day, I have my coffee. 2 mugs' worth. My kids are trained to ask, "mommy, have you had your coffee yet? I need _________". I didn't always have this habit. My husband is a big coffee drinker and we started a routine before we had kids of sitting in the early morning having coffee and watching the news, then getting ready for work and starting the day, etc. etc.

Today was just one of those days when it just doesn't start out right and goes downhill from there. It's like I made the mistake of getting out of bed! On Thursday, I ran for an hour and I pulled my pants up the whole time. They were my regular pants that I usually run in. Then yesterday, my engagement ring finally couldn't hang on anymore. It's a size 7. I stopped wearing my wedding ring a long time ago bc it was too big, it's a size 7 and a quarter. So today I didn't wear any rings.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it on here, but I signed up for my first run of the year a while back. It's in mid-March. My workout plan has me start running (for very short durations) about three weeks from now, so that would give me about a month to work up to it. It's only a 3k, which is about 1.8 miles, so it's an easy distance. Plus, it's a pretty low-key event that a lot of people walk, so if the date arrives and I still can't run, I can still get my t-shirt and enjoy a nice morning walk…Continue
Well I started out the goal with a bang. I just finshed a 62 min. extreme fat blasting Bob Harper workout. I am so proud of myself I really wondered if I could make it through the whole thing and I did. I have to say that finishing it made me realize how much I've been under estimating what I can really do physically. Today went well. No snacking or over eating. I made a sandwich using lefse that I found at the grocery. It is a potato tortilla (kind of) The ones I found are very plain and only 60 calories for 2 triangular pieces. Very low fat as these did not contain oils or butter. I am glad I found these as it gives me an alternative to bread. I usually eat whole wheat pita bread that I found at the grocery, they are made out of ingredients that I can pronounce and come in at 140 fat/free calories. I…Continue
