About Me:
I'm a 36 year old mom to 2 boys, married to my best friend/man of my dreams, and am stay at home mom who records vocals in her home studio once the kids are in bed.

I'm 5' 9.5", was close to 240 at my heaviest and started WW's June '08 weighing in at 231. My initial goal is to lose 70 lbs, but will reassess once I get closer to that weight.

I've been overweight since about 1993 and crossed over into the 200's (a.k.a. the Dark Side) back in '98. I've finally crossed back over and broke 200 in mid August 08 - leaving those numbers behind.

I'm now getting back on track after tiptoeing into the Dark Side.

So, ashamed, I sit here blogging about my struggles and failures with weight loss. I had my groove - I mean, HAD MY GROOVE! Where did it go and can I get it back?

I made lifetime at Weight Watchers back at the end of February and maintained for a good 2 months and then chaos happened. First off, it's been way too long since I've last posted, but that's another story...

I can't believe it! I was very nervous about today. I was afraid that I wouldn't reach goal. On Dec 30th, I was .6 away from goal. The next day we traveled back east to visit family for 2 weeks. While away, I was diligent with keeping on track with a few play days here and there. It was vacation and I was going to enjoy, but within control.

What a sense of accomplishment. I couldn't believe that I did it. I averaged a 9:42 min/mile which is almost 3 minutes better than my training runs. I almost cried about 3 different times moved by the whole experience. Seeing my boys cheering me on didn't hurt either!

So I am 2.6 lbs away from breaking 50 lbs. My WI is Tuesday - I'd love to reach that goal on the heels of this high, but any loss is a positive.

Ughhh! So, the scales were not good to me this week. But it was only a .8 lb gain, so not that big. Plus, (and this is going to sound like a total excuse!) I think my weigh in from last week was not actual. Every time before weigh in I do a last WI on my home WW's scale and I've been consistently heavier by 1.2 - 1.4 lbs on my home scale than the one read at the meeting.

Wow, I can't believe it. I've worked really hard and finally feel the pride I should in the accomplishment I've made, which is a huge difference from my self deprecating I constantly do.

Not only that, but I was sure that according to my height that I should be reaching at least 169 lbs. My leader said he wanted to remeasure me to make sure of my height. Today I made my (first) 10% goal at Weight Watchers! Woo hoo! I started WW's 6 weeks ago and have lost a total of 23.8 lbs.

Hey Fanchy! Thank you for your kind words on my page :-) You and your husband have done awesome things as well. So I read where you are running, that is something I need to learn to love. I currently just do cardio (walking) 5-6 days a week on a treadmill.

WOW! I just saw your pictures. I thought for sure you and reached goal and lost way more than you have (not that you haven't lost a lot). You look incredible. Good for you!! You make me wish I would have taken pictures like that!
