About Me:
I have been a member of Blog to Lose since October 2008 and a follower of Roni's Weigh since July 2008. I started my weight loss 'journey' the summer of 2008. My aim is to maintain the healthy changes I have made and continue exercising.

This lifestyle change has made it possible for me to realize that I am a strong and powerful person. !

News Years' Resolution Goal: 155lbs

(Not so) Currently.....I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl in December 2010. Now the plan is to lose the baby weight and get back on track with running. Yup, that's still the plan, just taking a little longer than expected.

A newbie, but no so new

Blog to Lose here I come!

My body image has been distorted for many years. I have never been satisfied with the way I looked. Now, as I look back at pictures of me when I was in high school, it seems crazy to think that I felt so big.

However, July 2008, I had a reason for feeling not so good. When I stepped on that Weight Watchers scale ,the numbers 225.6 were looking back at me. I felt sick. Especially knowing that 20 pounds of that I had gained in that last year.

My weight has bounced up and down.  Especially after having my daughter in 2010, I've struggled to lose the "baby weight".  

I still have a ways to go - but now I feel like I can achieve it, I will achieve it!

For all of you out there working hard - give yourself a pat on the back.

I feel like I've been doing the same song and dance lately.  I've struggled to lose baby weight after my first (who is now 2).  I've had really good intentions, made changes, stuck with them, but the results haven't been as quick as pre-baby (er...toddler....er....preschooler?).  Anyways, I'm not at goal (yup, I'm a Weight Watcher through and through).  Why?  I know it works because I've lost 50+lbs on it.  The other day I called up my hairdresser, who was able to get me in the next day.…

Winter Sledding

This morning, my husband and I took our little girl sledding.  She absolutely loved it, and it was a great workout running back up the hill with a two year old.   

So far today has been a good eating day.  I've been eating this "Holy Crap" cereal for breakfast lately, but it's so expensive.  I went to a bulk store and was able to get the main ingredients (hemp hearts, chia, buckwheat) and seasoned the mix with cranberries and cinnamon.  It was way cheaper just to mix it…

Onward and Downward!

Right?  

Feeling good.  Gained some weight over the holidays - happy with some of the healthy choices I made though.

Life is good.  Flipped through some of Weight Watcher Journals from 2009-2010.  It's kind of neat to see how my eating pattern has changed for the good/bad.  I'm going to try and incorporate some the things I ate for quick snacks and meals when I was at my Goal weight.

A Year A Miss

Oh Boy.  Gym date booked for this Friday.  The daycare lady remembered my daughter's name even though my membership lapsed and have not been in months(plural).  

Weight Watchers' meeting tomorrow evening.  Not looking forward to seeing the numbers staring back at me.  

Can I do it again?  Yup!

That's great that you're getting things done! I have the ceremony, reception and the minister and photographer, and of course the dress. I'm looking forward to all the other things to fall into place too!

Good luck with your dress hunt, it's fun but a little surreal (at least for me) but now it feels so real and so right!

I did Weight Watchers online about a year ago. This is my first time going to meetings though and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I have been recommending it to everyone and managed to get 1 person involved and maybe another too! Now I'm starting to think I should get some sort of commission, haha!

hey! aw ya i love it! I am in 1st grade right now...have been the whole semester..i will do my student teaching in Spring! I actually just took my content test toay (eek!) i think i did okay..it was just long! and took me forever to read a question it seemed like! but we'll see in 3-4 weeks lol...so how are you doing on ww??

I do the same thing now. I tell more and more people about losing weight and WW. Every other time I attempted to lose weight I never really told people or I would be like I`m just trying to be healthier. This is how I rationalized, I felt if I said I was only trying to get healthier I wouldn`t feel like other people would be accountable for me not losing weight. Does that make sense? Like if I committed to losing weight and didn`t, I didn`t want other people to notice and be like "I guess she's eating again!" lol

Now that I have truly committed to this for the long haul. I want people to know and I secretly want people to be impressed like I am impressed with myself. The accountability of others has actually now become a motivating factor for me. Thats why meetings work. And thats why blogging has been so helpful!

Susan..I am in week 5...workout 2. Although I've done that workout at least 4 times now. I just KNOW I cannot run 20 min. straight yet...so I think I'm safer staying where I'm at til I CAN run 20. So that workout is run 8, walk 5, run 8 walk 5. But I always add a couple more intervals at the end. Usually run 2, walk 2, run 2, walk 2. I wonder if I'll ever be able to run 20 min straight? uhhhg. This morning I had a tough time finishing. Just no gas in the tank! But I did 2 miles in 23:58. I was just happy to hit 2 miles! : )
