About Me:
I just turned 30. I wasn't someone who spend my whole life being overweight. I first gained weight when I graduated college. It was about 30 to 40 pounds and I lost all that weight in about 6 months. I felt good about myself, everyone said I looked good. I was happy. Then I gained about 75 pounds. I've lost about 18 of it but i'm still 190 in a five foot 3 inch body. On paper, everything in my life is good. I have a good job, I have good friends, and a good guy. And yet, I've withdrawn from all things I love because I just can't find any semblance of confidence anymore. I've started and stopped so many 'diets' but I lose motivation so quickly. It's harder now too because I have plantar fasciitis in my right food so my exercise capabilities is limited. I've used myfitness pal and I like the idea of the blog but all those people do is judge each other and play the expert. I don't find it encouraging and I don't find it motivating. I want a place where I can share my story as it unfolds and watch others achieve success too. This looks like that place.

Almost a week in!

Today is day 7 on my keto diet.  So far so good...however I have to add some stuff to my day 4 recap.

It was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.  I was so extremely tired. Not only was I overly tired but I was really overly emotional - which was odd.  That was Sunday and my boyfriend and I were going to a friend's to watch Wrestlemania (Taker's streak ended sadly for anyone who follow WWE).  I really just felt like staying home but I had been looking forward to…

As I mentioned in my first post, I've decided to keto to lose weight.  Keto = ketogenic diet.  Let me explain.

So I suppose a "first" post should describe who I am. 


Welp...I'm 30. I'm fat. I have a whiny dog (who is awesome). I'm in love. I have acquired cats that don't think my dog is as awesome as I do. I have a crazy family. But a great boyfriend who is aware and accepts that. But right now I'm just tired of being overweight.
