About Me:
I'm 31 years old, married in 2009 to an amazing guy!

In 2007 I thought I had reached my max weight! Then that winter it started, I had recently moved from Chicago to Kenosha, WI. My entire lifestyle changed. The good part is I met my now husband. The bad is that is when I sprained my ankle very badly, went from walking every day in the city to having a car for the first time in ten years, went from a very healthy diet to a horrible diet. My husband (boyfriend at the time) loved working out prior to our meeting, then with work and life things just kept him back, he also loved to eat and some how cooking just comes easy to me. So we both continued to gain weight!

May of 2008 I had started to go to Jazzercise! I loved it! We were engaged September of 2008, in November of 2008 I had an emergency gall bladder removal - as some how I was so sick and didn't know it. My gall bladder was gang green, at this point my weight was at 218 lbs, I couldn't believe it! Yet, once November hit me with being sick and having surgery - working out went to some slow walking after recovery.

July 2009 we were to marry, I tried to find ways to get down before the wedding, it just wasn't happening. I found that I would never get into my purchased wedding dress. I was sent by a friend to a lady that worked magic on my dress - I wore it and it was a beautiful day.

Early January in 2010 we started to work out at a local gym together, after a long winter. Then in February of 2010 when at the doctors they said, my weight was now at 235lbs!!! I grew up in an overweight family, since I was a little girl I thought that only fat people had to work out. Growing up I rarely ate breakfast or lunch. As an adult all through college and after I had to fight with myself to learn to eat through out the day. Still some days I can easily forget to eat. Although, I was not at all a fat child, since the age of six I thought that I was fat. I never in my life thought I would let myself get to this weight. Nothing seemed to be showing in results for either of us. Then I decided, I had to go back to Jazzercise the last day in March 2010! I started with going 2 - 3 times per week, using 2 lbs weights. I had tried prior at the gym to run again, like in college - I just couldn't seem to run for long enough to do anything. By May I was going 4, usually 5 times per week. Now (August 2010) I try to go 5 - 6 times per week and have slowly been adding in my 5 lbs weights. Recently this past week I have started to also work on building up my strength with push-ups. Right now they are pretty sad girl ones - I know they will over time improve. I can't wait till I can do even five real push-ups!

Since my first time going to Jazzercise in 2008 I have been measuring myself. So I have my stats since 2008 to show my loss as of today in 2010. In 2009 just before our wedding my back began to hurt me so bad that I thought I was going to be a cripple - it was very scary. I couldn't turn over in bed with out major pain. Today I rarely have pain, after loosing about 28 lbs and 2 - 6 inches all over my body so far. I'm fitting back into the jeans that I wore when we first started dating in 2007. This summer we joined a Co-op garden, which my husband and I both love! He has begun to have longer more intense work outs and also dropped weight. I still love to cook for him, we have switched things up tons, he is now eating things that neither of us thought he would ever eat. For the first time he has found that eating healthy can actually taste good and even better then junk food. We still have pizza, it is just homemade now with fresh vegetables.

I can't wait to see how I look by next summer in 2011! Yet, for now my first goal has been this October 2010 we will be going to a resort in Mexico to photograph a destination wedding. We are both starting to fit back into our old clothes!

so it is one day at a time. today my ankle is bothering me pretty bad, so i'm taking the day off from jazzercise - which i soooooo hate!

i have about 5lbs till i get to 200! i can't wait to be under 200!

random thoughts so far this morning...

was so not up for going to Jazzercise today. as always glad i went after or even during.

saw an old photo from only a few years ago when i thought i was fat, i looked so much thinner - still so much to loose.

this week has been pretty strange, not doing too well.

working out has been good - kept with my 5lbs weights all week this week for the first time! feeling pretty good about that!

Since I have been working on this since April 2010 and seen results I guess it is not too strange. I hope to loose another 20 - 25 lbs by mid- October. Yet I will be happy with 10 - 15 lbs, as I know even with that, that I will see results! Basically I have about 13 lbs till I am under that scary 200 lbs! I think I blocked out my weight a long time ago and now am not sure when I went over? Most likely it was after college.

My profile image is from early September of 2008, just prior to our to our engagement. Mind you we are photographers, so I look much thinner then I actually was. I have always looked for clothing and camera angles that would hide reality. I was around 215 lbs in this photograph.

Very coincidentally, I love the Jazzercise post pregnancy workout, and I also do the regular one and the Wii Just Dance game.... watching me dance seems to amuse my daughter. Have you tried Zumba at all? I've recently picked it up and really love it! Thanks for my first comment! I feel loved!

Where did you get your DVDs? Is there any you can recommend? I used to jazzercise years ago and loved it. I like dancing anyway.
