Profile Information

About Me:
Hi
I am Ron, a British guy who is now living and working in China. I make a living teaching Business English, and I now doing some motivational teaching.
I was a British Army soldier for more than 14 years, most of it with the Special Forces.
I was involved in an incident late on in my military career which has left me with a lifelong health problem.
After going through terrible mental and physical changes over the past 10 years, I have finally managed to come to terms with the situation.
IMy weight went to 300lbs, and because of my medical condition, which is COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disorder) and makes breathing very difficult, it was always used as the REASON why I was overweight. In actual fact I was using this as the EXCUSE for being overweight.
About a year ago I was admitted to hospital in Hong Kong and was told I wouldn't make it. Just hearing the doctors words took me back many years and to the training I had received as a soldier. Improvise, overcome, adapt. That was it, from that point on my life changed.
I was out of hospital within a week, I am now 210lbs, I still suffer with COPD which unfortunately has no cure, but instead of using this as an EXCUSE, I now use this as the REASON to change my lifestyle.
Again, because of the great military training I received, I now use these simple traing techniques to help me. Your MIND is the best weapon that you have. Believe in yourself, look around you, look at your family, are they worth the extra effort you have to put in. I don't need to answer.
Good luck to you all, I am regularly online, so if anyone needs any help or support or just a shoulder to lean on, please feel free to send me a message.
The Nike Slogan is so true. JUST DO IT.

Hi Ronald,

Welcome to BlogToLose! You'll find a lot of great support, encouragement and motivation here. Feel free to browse around the site. You may want to start with setting up your personal page. If you go to 'My Page' at the top it is a very user-friendly process on setting up your page, privacy settings, etc. You can also read and post under 'Blogs' which is found under the 'Members' tab at the top. There are also different discussion forums and groups you can join if you are interested. Do as much or as little as you are comfortable with. There is a lot to take advantage of so don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
