I love this set up over here compared to blogger. When Roni's original site crashed, I moved to blogger and then I couldn't keep up with blogger and her site when she reopened, so I kept blogger. I totally like this one better though. :)

Hi! Glad to meet a fellow Minnesotan. Looking forward to getting to know you. Hang in there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this weather will soon be over. I'm about done with the chilly, rainy weather.

Hey Robin this is slimmer reflection. I am just looking around for familiar faces. Your site looks great. I am still trying to get the hang of it. Are you just switching over completely or are you still blogging on weightwatchen?

Thanks Robyn, So nice to get your note. :) I'm originally from MN as well. :) I grew up in Willmar. I have lots of Relatives in Minneapolis. :) I will have to work on my blog page (this is all new to me) and see about getting some before and after pix up. I dont have many before pix as I always hate seeing myself in pictures but I will see if I can come up with something. :) As for my WW experience, I started this time in April 2007. (I had joined 3 times previously and would quit after loosing a certain amount - when I stopped weighing in and my accountability was gone, I'd gain it all back plus more) I had lost 35 lbs by August. (it was my goal to be down 35 lbs by my birthday and I made it so was so excited) We actually vacation in MN every year so I weighed in with my sister in law at her meeting in Spicer) :) I continued to loose and by Christmas was down 57lbs. I have pretty much stayed the same since then and have seemed to hit a plateau. I have played around with the same 5 lbs either up or down since then but now I'm really back on track and hope to loose this last 20. :) Even though it's been a year, I can really see that the "old me" is just a "muffin away"! :) haha. I have always been a bit of a binger and I really love sweets. I could live on them.. I have found the flex plan to work best for me as I do well with the structure and it helps me see how much I actually should be eating instead of what I WANT to eat......(which is alot! haha) I didnt exercise when I first joined but then after about 3 months or so I started walking and running. It really makes a difference. This time I plan to become a lifetime member and weigh in monthly and hopefully be at a healthy weight for the rest of my life! :) I know I sure do feel better. It's so nice to not have the "guilt" when I go to bed at night over what I ate that day. Or wake up the next morning thinking "why did I do that?" Well I know this is long so I'll stop here but I wanted to thank you again for your note and congratulate you on your weight loss today at WI! :) You're doing great. The one thing I love the most about WW is the whole idea that if you mess up one day, it's not the end of the world and you can just put it behind you and know you can get right back on track. It's a slow process of loosing the weight but as time passes and you start seeing the results, you realize it really does work. I figure time passes anyway so I may as well be a few lbs less at the end of a month than the same or more! :) I better run. Have a great weekend.

About Me:

Photobucket Hi! My name is Robyn and I am 44 years old. I am married (almost 19 years) and have two beautiful kids! A 16 year old daughter and a 14 year old son!

I've battled my weight all of my life and have made a decision that THIS is the year that all changes. Mostly because I want to be HEALTHY! In August of 2007 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and underwent a unilateral mastectomy of my left breast. I also had reconstruction surgery at the same time. I am happy to report that I am hereby cancer-free!

I had a TRAM free-flap procedure where my Doctor created my new breast out of my tummy tissue! Believe me, he had plenty of that work with! The added benefit of a tummy tuck was nice...but now its time to get the REST of my body into shape.

I've never been a "small" girl! In fact, I think I when I was younger I went from 99 to 160 lbs. overnight? lol I don't remember ever weighing less than 160 even when I was in high school!

As far as diets name it, I've done it. I've been a Weight Watcher member at least 4 times. I've tried Atkins, Nutrisystem, Slimfast...etc. I also did Phen Phen back in the early 90's for about 3-4 months. I lost 34 lbs (down to 157) and was completely happy at that weight. I also maintained it for almost 3 years. Then when I switched to a desk job...the weight slowly crept back on. Now..after years and years of yo-yo dieting I've reached my all-time high! A couple weeks ago I was at 203.5....but this morning I weighed in at 198.

This picture below was taken in April of 2005...when I was probably at my lowest in many years! (173 lbs.) At the time I thought I was WAY fat...but looking back now, I really wasn't that bad! Look how much thinner my cheeks are! Sheesh!

Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers
Workout Philosophy:
I'm a gym rat ALL the way
