In my long and complicated battle with the bulge, the only significant success I have had has been by using meal replacement shakes. There are a lot of people who say they are bad for you and you just shouldn't go there (ask any Personal Trainer and no doubt this is what they will say). When life doesn't quite go the way you'd planned, when relationships fall apart, jobs fall through, things break down, people you thought were good friends turn out to be anything but, or you just have a really rough day/week/month/year... what do "normal" people do? About Me:
Some years ago, I gained 54KGS in a period of twenty-four months. I fluffed around for almost a year, doing little more than talking about how much I wanted to get the weight off... and then something finally clicked; I started on meal replacement shakes and over the following eight months, I dropped 57KGS. Although I felt fantastic and I loved being able to wear clothes that I could only dream about before, I a) was still totally in love with food, and b) didn't realise how thin I was, because I still thought of myself as a Fat Chick... What followed was a three or so year all you can eat buffet! I put on 30KGS faster than someone at the drive-thru at McDs... and here I am! I've got 10 - 15KGS to go...
