"Christy and Angie have great ideas. I found that I wasn't eating enough. Once I upped it some and added resistance training, the scale did begin to move. So DO NOT GIVE UP!! It will work. So make sure you are eating enough and add some…"

What do you do when what used to work doesn't seem to work anymore?

Having a bad day. I hate the fact the scale has the power to control my mood for the whole day. This week I have been counting all my points, drinking all my water, measuring everything, running everyday, and I gained a pound... I could sit on my butt and eat Easter Candy and gain a pound. Last time i did weight watchers as long as i counted my points the scale would go down some. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any body have this happen? Any advice would be nice.

Is Eating Clean enough?

I would love some of your thoughts on this subject. I have always kinda been a "Weight Watcher" myself. One of my really close friends is a personal trainer. She's one of the "Biggest Loser" trainers and very much a clean eating advocate. I've tried it here and there, but 1, I have a hard time following it (its hard to eat NOTHING processed) and 2, I feel like I spend twice the amount on groceries when I try. Have any of you ever tried the Eat Clean diet? Did you lose? Did you love it or hate…See More

Stick to what you know works and that you can stick too. Stop trying all these diets that start the "binge eating" cycle

1,hear about a diet plan get excited about it, thinking "this is what I need to do!"

2. go shopping, blow a bunch of money on food for my new diet plan.

3. get a few days in (or a day) and decide "I can't do this" because of feeling horrible, or it just not being practical to my lifen

for example, being the only person at the pizza party not…

Hi Melissa! THANK YOU for your comment! Do you really think it might be the calories?!?! I'm so confused! I'm eating healthier than I ever have. I'm 5'0", medium build and I weigh 131.0 lbs. (I started at 138 at the beginning of June). I want to lose about 15 more lbs. You are around my height...do you eat around 1200 calories? Do you do 5-6 small meals or 3 big meals?!!

I just started trying to eat clean, so I'm not sure about weight loss yet.  I do know that I just feel better when I follow the rules: Eat food.  Not too much.  Mostly plants.  I'm following more of what Michael Pollan says in his book In Defense of Food and he talks about eating only foods that your great-great grandma would recognize as food.  I haven't really looked into the true eating clean diet.  I might have more information about how it's working once I've been on it a while. :)

The reason I asked your bloodtype  is because my daughter is doing a science fair project on blood type and what we eat.  It's said that certain bloodtypes can eat certain things and it makes them sluggist, stalls their metabolism, makes them prone to illness, gives weight gain etc.  Some foods are ultra good and nearly medicinal, and others are neutral.   I wondered if perhaps your blood type wasn't good for meat.  According to the chart (see link) all meat but chicken and turkey is a big no for you.  She's going to have lots of people of different blood types do lots of no foods for a week to see how they feel, then lots of the yes foods for a week and see how they feel to see if there is a correlation.  Anyhow-I can't say I know if it's a bunch of bull or not--guess I'll find out.  I'm doing my 2 weeks for her right after Tgiving.  Tell me what you think about the list:
