About Me:
I have experienced many ups and downs over the years and I have been able to push through all of them except one. My weight. I lost a lot of weight pretty easily in 2012. I gained it all back plus some pretty easily in 2013. In 2014 I maintained. The gain.

Along with the gain came health problems like terrible asthma attacks, anxiety, diabetes, and sleep apnea. All of which can be eliminated or significantly reduced if I lose the extra weight.

We are currently half way through 2015 and I am not going to lie. I have done NOTHING about addressing my weight or the related health problems. Don't get me wrong. It's always on my mind. I even have a plan... But it always starts tomorrow. I am sure you can imagine that with a plan like that I don't get very far at all.

Today IS yesterday's tomorrow so I guess it's time to buckle down and work towards ending this year in a much healthier place than I started it in.

Highest Weight (11/16/13) ~ 294.6

Goal: Lose 42 Pounds by the time I turn 42 on 2/12/16

Boot Camp

My husband just left for work for the next five days and I am putting myself through a STRICT boot camp.  I have already given up soda ~ which is truly the most difficult thing for me ~ but I have not been motivated to take the next step in my journey yet. 

Today that changes.  For the next five days I am eating a little something for breakfast, hitting the gym, and eating in.  Those are some big changes for me... I never eat anything until late in the day, having the kids…

Lesson #3: Hard Work Pays Off

But it is so stinking HARD!!!

It's been about a month and I am down 15 pounds  I have given up soda and it is been HARD but worth it.  I really need to focus on the next step of this journey ~ whatever that may be.  It feels great to have that weight off me, and I want to lose even more but I want to make sure that I do things the right way this time so I can make changes that will last me a lifetime.

Good or bad it never fails.

Last week I picked up two bags of flavored tootsie rolls.  I don't find them around here often so when I saw them on the shelf I impulsively bought two bags thinking "the kids will love these".  Yeah.  Right.  The kids never even knew they were in the house.  I don't think I need to explain where they went.

Time to cut out the junk food in the house and stock up on healthy choices.

I have been back in the game for about two weeks now and although I have not been able to keep up with blogging or journaling each day I have been able to focus on my water intake.  After what felt like endless days of terrible headaches and feeling sluggish and maybe even a mood swing or two I am officially off the juice (Coca-Cola) and back on water or seltzer water as my beverage of choice.  Since I am not a drinker and not really into other sugary beverages (like juices or lemonades) I…

You can do this! :) I haven't made much friends on here yet, but even with the eleven I have they help me out. Sometimes I just need someone in my corner pushing me when I need it....and picking me up when I fall. I don't have many friends that are supportive in my weight loss. It's refreshing to get on here and blog(vent) about my feelings. I need the support from others and that pat on my back once in awhile feels great. We will get through this journey I know it.

Hi Lynn, I started on the old program on wednesday. So far so good. I gained back 25 out of 40 pounds and I am mad at myself. But, it's a new day so i'm going forward with a positive attitude. I've already planned out todays meals. I'm looking forward to the support on this blog. Times are tough so i'd rather not spend the money every week, but I do need the extra support.
