Thats how long it's been since I have posted on this blog!! That is insane! SOO much has happened in my life since then. Where do I begin? Since my last post on July 13th, 2010, which was just after my first round on HCG, I completed a few more rounds and to be honest I absolutely swear by that stuff!! I really have nothing to complain about! I am very pleased and proud of myself for accomplishing what I have accomplished. I have 10 days left on protocol and I hope I can use those days to the fullest and release some more fat! Since Friday i have lost over 6 pounds, despite my .4 gain this morning. I can deal with that! I am almost out of the 230's and I never want to get there again! EVER!

- I am 34 years old. I have tried every diet known to man. Weight watchers and Atkins worked the best for me along with just general calorie counting. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2005, yet started showing symptoms at age 15. I have done a lot of research on controlling PCOS symptoms and everything I find points to a low carb, low processed food diet. Here goes nothing!

So the Holiday weekend slowed me down.....A LOT! I gained almost 5 pounds and it took me all week to lose it. I have 2 weeks left of the HCG protocol and I intend on going out with a bang! I am on day 28 and I am down 25.8! Not bad!! I owned the fact that I cheated, it was MY choice and I accepted the consequences. unfortunatly it cost me a week of my 6 weeks on protocol and wasted drops, but what can I do. Other than move on! Just a quick update....I have a busy weekend and finals! I just ended my 3rd week with a bang...I lost another 1.6 bringing me to a total of 24.2 pounds. I am more than elated and can't believe I have made it so long and I have no plans on stopping. Have a wonderful 4th of July everyone :)

Kris said… - Howdy! I don't know that I can offer you much in the way of recipes. I can suggest that you read Michael Pollan's book "In Defense of Food" or Marion Nestle's book "What to Eat." Her book is an aisle-by-aisle analysis of grocery store food and how to shop effectively and his book is a more philosophical look at how to construct a diet based on food instead of 'food-like substances.' One of my favorite lines of his is 'if your great-great grandmother wouldn't have recognized it, it's not food.' :-) Good luck with your journey!

But in the salad dressing isle is italian dressing packets and it usually comes in a kit for you to put it in. Carb free and great. It reminds me of the olive garden dressing so i just put onions, tomatos in there.. Or just throw that picco de gallo.
