About Me:
I'm a bit of a mess, really, but am becoming more and more grateful and content in this beautiful, loud, crazy life I'm leading as a homeschooling mom of 3 (6, 3, 6mo). This past year has definitely taught me that I need to learn to carve out space for myself and for my marriage, that to best serve my family I must have space to think, breathe, pray. I'm excited to see where this leads, how God takes me through this process. I'm excited to have more energy to love my family and friends, to be adventurous, to take advantage of this amazing place I live (So. Florida), to living a fuller and more abundant life! Thank you for walking alongside; I hope we can encourage one another to be free of the bondage of food, bad body image, fear as we step into ourselves more fully!

After banging out 3 solid weeks, I am flailing! I have thrown my plan out the window and am indulging left and right. GAAAAA!

This is hard. Thinking about a weight loss process that could take 2 years is overwhelming. It is so much easier to give up. Man, that really is easy, isn't it? I had a solid week this week. I'm thankful and planning on continuing to plug away at this. Its going to be a long haul, but I'm committed and NOT turning back!

Goals week 3

1. Continue to drink 80 oz water.

Week 2 Weight in: 262.6

This week, friends? Totally celebrating! This is crazy - and I'm so excited! I think there is something powerful to cutting grains out of my diet. I have to say, I think my cravings are Really starting to change. It is amazing how in just a couple of weeks my body can adapt and respond to this new way of eating. Wild.

I am blessed, like so many of you, with a wonderful husband. He is kind, gentle, supportive, nonjudgmental; he's become a wonderful leader of our family, he is very successful at work, he has been diligent to grow himself - seeing weaknesses in his character and taking steps to overcome them, he's transparent and honest, he's humble, he's an Amazing father.

Katie:  If you go to my page, I blogged just about every single day that I did the Whole30 Challenge.  It sounds hard core, and it is ... but truly, I wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.  I'm having a harder time right now, if I'm honest.   I bought the book "It Starts with Food" and had it about two months before I even started to read it.  That's how scared I was of it.  Then I just made the decision one day that "Heck ... I can DO 30 days!"  and I never felt better.  Just need to not back slide at this point.  I want to continue to feel the way I did while I was doing it. --- You should read the book so that you have a full understanding of what your body will be telling you along the way and the whys behind it.

Hi Katie!  Thanks for the support yesterday.  Sadly it wasn't quite the clean slate I had hoped for but I am keeping my fingers crossed that today will be much better!
