About Me:
My name is Julie and I'm 41. I started my weight loss journey in early 2009. It has taken me that long to lose 34 lbs. I started at 214 and as of today I'm 180. My lowest was 173 back in June 2011. I've made a lifestyle change and I go through periods of just maintaining, losing a few or gaining a few. My goal is to be 145 which is a good weight for me at 5'6". I've made exercise a regular part of my life and this year I have completed 3 5k's running most of them. I try to run or get some kind of cardio 3-5 days per week and my eating has changed to low carb.

Last Weigh-In (Dec. 12th) - 182.0

Today's Weight - 183.2

Difference - +1.2



So not bad for going through Christmas and New Years but now it's time to reboot and get serious with the diet. I've been at this for 2 years and I've been treading water since the summer. Well, I haven't blogged since Nov. 20th. Where I started to record my weigh-ins. Unfortunately, that didn't go so well. I can't stop struggling. I have been afraid of getting on the scale but today I bite the bullet. I really need to get on weekly to hold myself accountable. So I'm promising myself I will do this weekly and not chicken out no matter what happens. So here it goes:

I haven't blogged in a while but am realizing I need the accountablilty. I'm going to post my weigh ins from now on. I struggled at the beginning of this month. I fell victim to the Halloween candy and my sugar issues led me to let it domino. I'm finally back on track and I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Crazy huh?? I agree it's definitely the closest we've come, and so far I'm liking it. It seems pretty well organized and I love that we can customize our blogs a little. The ads aren't hideously annoying. I think this one has real promise

Aww Thank you for your wonderful comment!  All I know is "strength" has very little to do with any success I have lol...I really think that PATIENCE is the key to dealing with long term successful weight loss--you don't gain it over night and you won't lose it overnight either.  However it is VERY easy to get frustrated with the whole thing (happens to me all the time!!)

Anyway I will keep trying and I know you will too!  I am super happy our WC Family came over...hopefully more will keep coming over to this site though, there are some long-termers that haven't been on WC in a while so I hope they pop up before the site goes down :)

I weigh in tomorrow morning.  I've really been hitting it hard this week.  I've been not only doing my 90 minute workout at home each morning before taking my daughter to horse camp-but then I've been going to work out at the Y for an hour after.  I've also been really good about my eating.  I had two slices of cheese pizza Monday so that may have messed me up a little--and a cheese quesadilla on Saturday when we went out.  I hope those don't mess things up.  I didn't go overboard, I don't think......Crossing my fingers!

Oh, I remember when my boys went to kindergarten... it's such an exciting day, but you're right, it's a bit sad too.  When my oldest was in kindergarten, and just starting hockey, there was no way I would have imagined him leaving in 11 years.  But they do grow up.  You'll have an emotional time in 2 weeks... :)
