One Year Later...

I last posted in September 2011. My weight was 158. I was reeling from losing my job, taking graduate classes, and adjusting to life as newfound vegetarian.Where am I now?Well, since my last post I completed my graduate program, found a job, and then had to quit it because we needed to move to a new city 3 hours away for my husband's work. Misguided

It seems like ever since I lost my job, I have come unanchored. Off-track. Even though I am taking 2 classes and an internship, I still feel lost.This is most obvious in my meals. Or lack of. The kids have been getting sandwiches for dinner more often than I want to admit. I have been eating little bits of things here and there, without a plan. I have had several days of in-control eating and good food choices. I have been trying to be more "present" with what is going on in my body and my head to be more aware of my choices. I tried "intuitive eating" several years ago and although that approach did not help me to lose any weight, it did give me a better understanding of body signals. Anyways, this evening I saw a little sandwich bag of cookies left over from my daughter's lunch. About Me:
I am a married mother of two and work full time. I recently lost 50 pounds following a low-carb, high protein diet with shakes and bars. I am in maintenance now and struggling. I have gained back several pounds as I am adjusting to eating "normally." I am also just getting into running. I ran my first 5k in March and am trying to complete the Couch to 5K training program to do another 5k in May.
