I have been putting on weight since February...I have seen it, felt it, cursed myself for it, refused to by new clothes, denied it...No More. Today I stepped on the scale and the weight that I guessed I would be was accurate. It was not something I wanted to see but I had to face it to make myself get back on track. Today I tried to log my feelings etc. while I ate. I still bought a few extra snacks at work that I did not need but I journaled why I was eating to try and get to the reason that I eat so much. I made a big pot of oatmeal so I have breakfast made for the entire week. Tomorrow I will make extra at dinner so I have a few lunches prepared. I am trying to be as prepared as possible so I don't get distracted.

I read in a book that I am reading about Self Compassion and weight loss that suggests to "eat like a bird." It says to make every meal a songfest and savor the food and the group of people you are with. Food is something to sing about!
Today while journaling I made four lists: Why do I eat the way I do? What types of food do I eat that make me feel out of control? What times/when do I eat these types of food? and Things I do to sabotage my good health.
As part of the online Best Body Bootcamp I joined we have to pick two goals to work on daily each week. One of my goals this weeks was to read the ingredients on the processed foods that I eat and find out more information about those that hard to pronounce!!!! I don't eat a lot of processed food but I do snack and I know there are unhealthy things I eat. So here we go:

This week was a busy week. I made sure that I got my water in everyday though and it really seemed to help! The scale went down. I did my Best Body Bootcamp workouts (sponsored by Tina at www.tinareale.com ) and I am feeling great. We only have 2 more weeks left of our online bootcamp!
