Aug 1-8= -0 (don't know what happened, exercised some and stayed on plan except for the stupid evil smoothie incident.TOM made its exit this week, but all ill effects should have been over by weigh in day, so I don't think I can blame it.)
Aug 8-15= 0...lots of fluctuations this week. saw a two pound loss at the beginning of the week, but then the scale was back up and down for the rest of the week...never got a stable number.
Aug 15-22= -4
Aug 22-29- still fluctuating. dealing with TOM, ate most of my flex points
Aug 29-Sept 5=0
AUGUST TOTAL=-4
Sept 5-12=-4, started low carb
Sept 12-19= -4 YAY! still doing low carb/ww

We were actually able to get into our new school EARLY! I didn't know that happened with construction projects. We were able to get into our classrooms on Friday and Saturday when we weren't scheduled to be in until Monday, so that is awesome. The new building is really pretty, and our classrooms are the exact same. They might be a tiny bit bigger, but it's hard to tell. Still Around

I'm still around, but I got addicted to a series of books and have been reading nonstop. I have two more books in the series to go, and then I'll return to normal. This is my last week of summer before in-service starts next week. My feelings range from immense dread to mild excitement about school starting.

Well I'm back from camp, and boy was it an interesting week. Our youth had a good time, and the husband and I ended up having quite the experience. The camp was a mission camp, and one of the missions was a sports camp for the local kids. The county we were in is one of the poorest in the state. They divide the kids into groups and have activities and Bible study for them. We leave for camp tomorrow. I've got my list of food that I can cook in the microwave so hopefully I won't get tired of the food. We have tons of packing and preparation that despite our relaxed schedule, we've saved for today of course. I had another headache last night, so we didn't get to go to the store last night. I plan to cook a good lunch and dinner today so that I can enjoy two last home cooked meals. I've got taco soup currently simmering on the stove.

Icecream Find

I've been doing pretty well. I was hungry a lot yesterday, but I'm doing better today. I discovered some delicious icecream. It's Breyer's fried ice cream. It's cinnamon and caramel with tostada pieces in it. It's 3 points for a half cup. I spent much of today researching on the internet about possible books for my 8th graders to read. I've always looked a little bit older than I am. I just made sure to keep a tight lip on my age. I love to joke around with my students, but I also know what I'm teaching them is important, so I'm always trying to balance the two. I have learned how to be tough and demand respect, and some days I'm like if they only knew how old I am, they'd die. And of course many days, I also feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I truly love my job though.

Go figure! Good idea to keep your age quiet with your students...I could only imagine what we'd have done to a teacher so close to our own age. Kudos to you! I'm glad you enjoy your job, that's so important!
Having a child is very scary, IMO. It is a huge step and there's no turning back. DH and I wanted children right away. There's still some days that I've no idea what I'm doing and worry that I'm doing something to screw her up. It's all about perspective I suppose. Thank you, we think DD is kinda cute! :)

I had a friend that when she found out I was eating it regulary got upset, but when I asked her why it was bad, she didn't know. I went online and found the following two articles. The summary that I gather from this is that people worry that these could cause cancer, but there is no proof of this. I would like to know if there is actual cause for concern. Thoughts?

What I read actually made me feel better because it just looks like there was some initial concern but no hardcore findings. I haven't seen the Tagatose, but I'll keep an eye out. So many bookcases and shelves that I felt a little claustrophobic. The furniture may still be there when I go in, so I'm going to try and get it put in storage.
