"The good news.... you are back at it.  You didn't quit on yourself.  Take it one day at a time.  Small changes.  Planning is great advice from Honeybun. "

Need some motivation!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted!  Time has flown by.  My son is now 15 months old.  He's walking everywhere, says "Mama" and "Dada", and is getting so big!  He is such a sweet little guy.  I don't know what I'd do without my Zach-Man :)I'm back in school.  I'm doing a 1-year Medical Assisting program.  I'll be done in August.  I plan on getting my foot in the door, work, and eventually go on to get my RN.  It's going to be tough, but it's what I want to do.  I'm not giving up this…See More

About Me:
Hi! My name is Hannah. I'm 25, happily married, and a very proud momma! My son Zachary is now 15 months old. He's the light of my life.

I'm back in school studying Medical Assisting. I'll be done in August. My plan is to get my foot in the door, work, and eventually go on to get my RN. It's not going to be easy, but I want to do it!

I've been struggling with my weight for quite a while. I originally lost 75 pounds with Weight Watchers, made goal, then thought I could do it on my own. Met the love of my life, got married, relaxed, then got pregnant. I started going back to WW meetings off and on but haven't been in weeks! I'm now at the highest weight I've been in a while. It's time to change and set a good example for Zach. I'm tired of going up and down. It's time to have a healthy relationship with food.
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers
Workout Philosophy:
I stay active doing everyday activities

Today is a better day

I haven't posted since the 15th!  Eek!  I notice such a difference when I don't blog everyday.

So, I've had a bit of a rough week.  Today has been a much better day though!  I got my workout in early this morning and have eaten well.  Breakfast was shredded wheat with blueberries, snack: banana and low-fat chocolate milk.  Lunch was a Lean Pocket (don't usually eat these, but I needed something quick--little guy has been a handful!).  Side of cantaloupe and cottage cheese with that. …

Not a good day

Posted on August 15, 2011 at 6:15pm 5 Comments

Ugh, I am really beating myself up today!  I've been on such a roll with making good food choices and getting back into an exercise routine.  There are some stressful things going on in my life right now, and I kind of let food win today.  I'm REALLY working hard on beating this emotional eating.  I found myself mindlessly snacking on things like tortilla chips and few handfuls of dark chocolate peanut M&M's that my husband insisted on buying for me.  How do I tell him not to bring sweets… Continue

Down 2.2!

Posted on August 14, 2011 at 9:38am 4 Comments

Weigh-in was this morning.  Down 2.2!  I'm so happy it's coming off!  I find myself making better choices everyday.  For example, at my uncle's retirement party yesterday my grandma had her famous chocolate pie, lemon icebox pie, and a plate of watermelon and cantaloupe.  I decided to have the fruit instead of the chocolate pie.  I knew I was going to the movies later, so I wanted to be able to have my small popcorn and not feel bad about it.  I totally enjoyed it too!  So, I'm down to…

Ready for the weekend!

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 6:18pm 2 Comments

Tomorrow we're going to my Grandma's house.  She's having a retirement party for my uncle.  She's making lasagna and salad, so that's not too bad.  She's a great cook.  Yum!  Then tomorrow night I'm going with my best friend to see the movie "The Help."  So excited!  We haven't been to the movies together since high school.  Crazy, I know!  She has 3 kids and lives about an hour away.  It's a much needed break for the both of us.

I did end up going for a walk last night.  The weather…

Thanks for the encouragement, Hannah. I'm trying to keep it in perspective, and I know a 2.4-pound loss is good, but when I had just 12 pounds to goal a couple of weeks ago, it's hard to appreciate being 16.8 away.

Then again, it's better than 19.2, right? :D

Thanks for all of your comments! It's nice to see when others understand the internal dialogue I have with myself. It's easier to fight this way!

Yes, stevia, truvia... both are all natural and come from the same plant. I actually use Truvia. I drink a little green tea (use to be every morning, it will be again when school starts). I drink the decaffinated kind just because my body doesn't do well with it anymore...

Some books on emotional eating:
I am still reading "The Ultimate Weight Solution" by Dr. Phil. It seriously has gotten into my head, I love it. It tries to demolish negative internal thinking as well as other emotional issues.

Other books I've heard about, but haven't read:
-Fit from within by Victoria Morgan
-Breaking free from emotional eating by Geenen Roth
-Mindless eating

Hope these help! We can also share what's going on inside of our heads on this site. Which is awesome!

lol...grocery shopping went ok. It's tough for us too because we on one income now with 2 kids (one in diapers) and I am going to school at night. So I totally understand the having to stretch the dollar! I hope you have a great weekend!

My hummus was moldy, so I had a sandwich thin with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light cheese and sliced tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Yum!

Funny, this morning I was thinking I ought to use one in a breakfast sandwich. I guess great minds think alike!

Thanks for the comment. As for the journal I just went to Borders and bought the cutest writing journal I could, then every day I do a points column and a balance column and write down everything I ate...so not too technical or anything, but it works. I am sure you will find your prince!!! I guess it takes a lot of frogs to find the right one! I am a hopeless romantic too and the BF tells me a lot that I want my life to be a romantic movie and life isn't that way...well boo to him...we can all dream and hope! Have a great one!
