About Me:
I'm beginning a new chapter in my life. I'm ready for change and freedom. I have a huge heart and I love helping people. I live in Raleigh with my fiance and my dog. We try to take advantage of every day but I'm ready to be released from this extra baggage. I've always battled weight and I'm ready to lose it for good and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I've not unfamiliar to weight loss, in fact I lost 60 lbs on LA Weight Loss 2 years ago but I have let some weight come back on and I refuse to go back to where I was before. I am happy to say that I will not allow myself to gain any more weight. I'm here to gain a new outlook on life and some great friendships! "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!"

Food ideas

Hello and good morning!

I am having a dinner party for my fiance's birthday next Sunday. Could someone please suggest some food ideas to serve with chicken wings? I was planning on a salad and maybe some rolls. What else do you think would be good/healthy?

Hey everyone!



So...I had a bad start to the day in terms of food. I ended up driving through McDonalds (first mistake of the day) and getting a egg and cheese biscuit. I was having a moment and I caved...oh well, it happens. On to later in the day. Did well for lunch and had some sushi (yummy!) and edamame. Not as hungry today

Hey everyone,



Thanks for the great food suggestions yesterday. I actually changed a couple things and did not get as hungry as I did yesterday afternoon. Today was a good day for me. I had to work at 6:30 a.m. (ugh) but I got a nice breakfast in and worked steadily all day long. I'm grateful for the following items today:



-My ability to move past the boredom eating

-I drank a lot of water

-My friends and family

Good afternoon everyone! I need your help :-)



I am currently doing weight watchers and I need some suggestions on foods that are low in point value and keep you full longer...



I am finding myself hungry. I figured maybe if I gave an example of what I eat, it might help you see where I am going wrong. Vacation

So I started a mini vacation yesterday and I can only say that I do much better with food when I am at work. It's easy to stay on track and occupy my mind. Yesterday, I didn't do much of anything and ofcourse, went over my points. I think I eat out of boredom sometimes....today I vow to get out and do more or occupy my time at home so I don't get tempted to go to the pantry or fridge.

You're right. Fruit can be expensive. I try to buy whatever's on sale ... at my store, peaches are 99 cents a pound this week — and I LOVE peaches. I also buy the canned stuff, like peaches and pineapples, when they're on sale. A half-cup of pineapple over 1/2 cup of fat-free cottage cheese is something like 2 1/2 Points.

I am a teacher, so I have a VERY short window of time I can eat lunch. This means it has to be quick and easy. I typically eat some sort of lean cuisine (mostly the panini sandwiches and flatbread sandwiches--I'm guessing these's wouldn't really work with the vegetarian lifestyle) They are VERY filling. I also love some FF pringles. 15 chips for 1 point--can't beat it. When I'm in the mood I'll make a turkey sandwich. You might want to look into some lower point bread as well. I have have 2 slices for only 1 point. That saves you big time! I'll hop into chat for a bit if you would like to catch up there to talk more. :)

I eat a brand called Aunt Millie's. I dont ever remember seeing it when I lived in Texas, so I'm not sure if its a regional thing or not. Most of the time the whole wheat breads are your best bet. Just make an effort to look through all the breads next time and pick something with low cal and high fiber.
