Therapy Day 1

Good news from the physical therapist! She seems to think stretching will help my pain and once my flexibility is back I will need to do some strengthening. However, in the meantime I am able to bike! Although it's not the same as running for me, I'm thrilled to be able to do some kind of cardio to stay in shape. Accountability

I decided I need a way of tracking my emotions, which seem to be the sole reason that my eating/working out habits change daily. Lately I've been SO unmotivated, and although this is mostly due to a sprained ankle 3 weeks into my half marathon training, I don't think this should be an excuse to eat poorly as well. End of Vacation Blues

I just got back from a week of vacation on Martha's Vineyard. The beach was wonderful and it was so nice to take a week off from work and just relax. I tried my best to stay on plan, but it was really hard with the eating out and my favorite treat (ice cream). By the end I wasn't counting points which was a disappointment. "try scrambled egg whites for breakfast with a piece of toast or fruit. The egg whites are really low in calories but keep you full for a looong time. Theyre great with some salsa or a little ketchup too!"

Water Weight?

Last night was my 5th weigh in for weight watchers....I am SHOCKED. I lost 4.2 pounds! (Total of 7.2 since starting). I'm now down to 121.8 and couldn't be happier. BUT...I'm just curious if a lot of this is water weight. I wasn't as great about drinking water yesterday, it was 97 degrees out, AND I went to the gym before weigh in. So obviously some of the weight is water, but is all of it? Just wondering how much others have lost in water weight from a workout/ not drinking as much. Thoughts?…See More

Alcohol and Eating

So, this week was great and I'm feeling really encouraged since the scale said 123.7 this morning! Haven't weighed that in a while. BUT... tomorrow I'm headed to the Rascal Flatts concert. WW 4th Weigh In

Tonight I had my 4th weigh in at weight watchers...only down .2 for a total of 3 pounds since I started. Although my goal for WW is 124, my personal goal is 120. I'm at 126 right now. Although I know I'm not overweight, I joined weight watchers to eat healthier and see what the best shape I could be in is. About Me:
A college girl who is seeking to lose those stubborn last 10 pounds. I have struggled with being body "obsessed" for a lot of my teenage years, and although I am still struggling, I am learning that it should be more about feeling good and simply being healthy. I recently joined Weight Watchers and hope that the plan will help me gain a more positive attitude about food and my body. I am starting to blog for added motivation that I often lack.
